Abbey lodge is very well located - a 5 minutes walk to the center of Killarney and almost by the entrance to the Muckross Park. they don't have the elevator of course and since we had heavy bags we were given a room at the ground floor even though it was more spacious that one we had initially booked. Good b&b, good location, good service. we liked our stay here

We stayed here for one night only and were so sorry we didn't stay a few more nights. The location is not far from the centre of town and is within easy walking distance (about 3 mins). It is located on one of the main roads in a line of a lot of other accommodation places.

When we were taken to our very spacious room, we both said WOW. It was beautiful, and had everything in it you could possibly want and more - so beautifully decorated as well, as was the whole place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are three or four carparks at the front of the lodge if you arrive early enough, however there is a large carpark down the back. The main lounge area is just like a home lounge room, with lots of nick-nacks all around - and has facilities there to make tea/coffee 24 hours a day if you want.

Breakfast was also very good as they make up whatever you want and it is also quite tasty.

Killarney is a beautiful place - lots of Irish charm and character and we were so disappointed we were not able to stay for further nights. If ever we have the opportunity to go back to Killarney in the future, this place will be top of my list. It is a peaceful and beautiful place. Totally recommend it - you won't be disappointed.

Great location, plenty of room and very well priced. Just wasn't the personal touch as the Lodge is so big. Rooms very good, spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking, BIG breakfast room and breakfast was great. Was good to see pancakes on menu as bacon and eggs every morning becomes boring. Had a variety that would suit all breakfast eaters!!
Sometimes when trying to contact reception i had to wait a long time. Rung the bell but no one around. Had to go back to room and ring reception and then go back to reception.

Spacious room with a small table and two chairs "seating area" (and 3 beds - one double and one single), excellent location (a 2 minutes' walk from high street, where all the "action" is), John the owner is very friendly and helpful, tea and coffee facilities, all in all a clean comfy room.

Very cosy ambiance. Abbey Lodge has a room near reception for the guests to enjoy a cup of tea, and there is a fridge/freezer in the hall for the guests to use.

The next door house, which is also a B&B, has a dog that did not stop barking in the morning, but that was tolerable and nothing that Abbey Lodge can do.

Highly recommended!

3 nights stay, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, simple rooms, everything you would need is here. 3 minute walk to town, beautiful common areas to sit, read a book and relax, very quiet even though it is on the main road you don't hear a thing. Lovely stay!

Stayed here with a friend as we planned to go out in Killarney for a night. The location is great as it's a 3 minute walk from the town centre.
Check in was easy but not exactly memorable. The rooms are very out dated with old furnishings, a terrible smell of damp (dirty- not sure how to describe it but not welcoming) , a tv from 1990 with rte 1 & network 2, the shower dribbled and the wifi did not work. This should simply not be classified as a hotel.
The room was €100 for two of us so we weren't expecting the lap of luxury but a little effort would go along way. I have stayed in much nicer places in Killarney but thought a change would be nice and was very disappointed.
