Located near town but off a quiet side street (very helpful in a hotel with no air conditioning), this hotel was good for someone like me who was exploring the national park but not so good for those who wanted to get into town, as parking downtown is a extremely difficult in high season. This a nice enough establishment but I found it overly priced compared to other places I stayed during my month-long Ireland trip. I upgraded to a Deluxe King Room that was nowhere near as nice as photos led me to believe. The carpets in particular were tired and worn, and overall the room had a very dark feel to it (although the bathroom was lovely, large, and bright). The room was also extremely warm because only the small tops of the windows opened, so I was very uncomfortable. Good breakfasts, though, and generally helpful staff; Joan was an absolute delight, but the other receptionist was not particularly friendly or welcoming. Overall, a decent stay, but I will not be back.
