“THE PLACE TO STAY IN KILLARNEY”
Reviewed 22 May 2009

Greeted by Emir (one of the owners) we were make to feel comfortable right off the bat! She provided us with loads of information about the area and had upgraded us to a suite. Granted, we were ther off-season, but that extra courtesy was just grand. The rooms are decorated with period pieces and free internet access is availabe in the grand living room.

As Americans..we love our ice and that anemity was made available to us with ease.

We will never stay anywhere else upon visiting Killarney.

I recently spent two days with my sisters at Earls Court in Killarney and believe that it embodies the best of two worlds- the hotel and the B&B. It was much larger than a normal B&B and resembled a small hotel, there was an "elevator" which was wonderful after the many flights of stairs we traveled up and down with our heavy suitcases at our other B&B's. The dining room was huge and the selection of entries along with the assorted freshly made bread and fresh fruits was unlike any other place we stayed in. The room was very clean and the bed and bath were large..The view from our balcony overlooked the Killarney National Park! Unlike the impersonal nature of a hotel, it was home-like which you expect in a B&B. Emir (the owner) took our order in the dining room every morning ,and was extremely pleasant and helpful to us in what we should see and do in Killarney- helping us to book tours. When we were leaving she gave us much needed directions to our next destination.

I previously had booked Earls Court when I arranged for my daughter's honeymoon -and they returned with the report that Earls Court was their favorite. I totally understand why they felt this way after our trip. It doesn't hurt that the magical city of Killarney is within a very easy and safe (sidewalks) walk into the town center. If you are going to Killarney - I highly recommend this B&B as the perfect place to stay.

We stayed for three nights over Easter weekend. The hosts were busy but personal service and attention to detail was not diminished. Great value for a large room (bigger than most four star establishments), four poster bed and comfortable lounge. Close to town, but quiet and easy to slip out to head to Ring of Kerry or Dingle.

We stayed here during Easter weekend and the hotel was lovely. We got a suite for considerably less than what you'd pay for a standard room in most of the bigger 4 star hotels in Killarney. The room was fantastic, very spacious and clean, with a big 4 poster bed and big bathroom with 2 basins, shower & jacuzzi bath. More of an old-world style, but certainly not old fashioned. Friendly staff also. Although it's not right in the city centre, it's only really about two blocks away (maybe 10 minute walk). I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for an alternative to the bigger more expensive hotels in Killarney.

Our two week trip around Ireland included two wonderful evenings as the guests of Emer and Ray Moynihan. We were treated as family. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Lounging in the parlor after a long day of sightseeing at the many locations nearby was the perfect way to relax and recall the experiences of the day. There was not another stay that matched this one. Thanks again Emer and Ray. (Emer, my nephew and family should be there with friends in a week or two.)

Recently stayed here on a business trip. The facilities are very comfortable and welcoming. The location is quiet, but close enough to downtown to walk in a few min. The breakfast was delicious. But the real reason to stay are the owners, Emer and Ray. Emer was absolutely fabulous! Very simply, she went above and beyond to take care of us. She could not have been more friendly or helpful. We will return again for a vacation and will tell anyone who will listen that if they stay in Killarney they could not do better than to choose Earl's Court.

Earls Court House is the best possible combination of small hotel and B & B. Everything about it met or exceeded our expectations. Rooms, food, location, ambiance, are all first rate, and the innkeepers are charming. Staying here was one of the highlights of our two week trip to Ireland. Be sure to take a "jaunting car" ride of Killarney National Park and ask for Paul, he was a wonderful tour guide.
