the scenery on the short boat ride was lovely. the island was very peaceful - you could see why monks chose it as a monastery site. not much to see - the boat came back for us 45 minutes later. but we enjoyed it.

I always find I run out of time here, so spend a least 4 hours here and bring a picnic and explore the island and ruins, see if you can spot any of the many animals that live on the Island.

Its history speaks volumes and the place of education for the last King of Ireland? Ask about the annals of Inish Fallon kept in the Bodellium library in Oxford England

Monastery on the island is a pretty amazing structure on such a peaceful and untouched island. Beautiful walks on the island, def worth a visit.

We had great fun here. We hired a boat at Ross Castle and rowed out. Its only about a mile and you can hire fishing rods as well. We even caught a couple of fish!! The island is very lovely with some great ruins and a lot of deer, lovely wild flowers
