What a wonderful place this is. We had the most amazing time in Ireland and this was just one example of the stunning landscape on offer. There also a lovely cafe right on the top, so you can have an ice cream (or more) and look out over the amazing views.

I stopped here to take pictures and they all turned out beautifully. The view is to die for, plenty of worn paths to hike around and check out the local animals, or the running river. Great place to picnic, or swim but be careful the current is strong so be cautious when swimming.

We visit the ladies view whenever we come to Killarney. It offers one of the most beautiful views of the surrounding area, and the little shop is great as you can get a coffee and admire the view or if you get the weather and ice-cream!

There are busses that bring you there, I assume as part of the ring of Kerry tour, but we always have the car. The only thing that may discourage is the roads can be quite stressful to drive on as they are often too narrow for to cars let alone a car and a bus to pass alongside comfortably, and oftentimes on the edge of a big drop!

If you are traveling in the evening, you may get lucky and catch deer coming down to the lakes to drink, be sure to drive slow so as not to collide with one, (genuinely a concern as I had to jam on the breaks as one suddenly leapt out In Front of us, thankfully we weren't driving too fast!)

Thoroughly recommended.

We took the Ring of Kerry tour and Dingle Peninsula tour with the Wild Kerry tours. Even though the Ring of Kerry tour was taken on a foggy day the sights were still beautiful and the fog made it a bit romantic. I don’t suggest driving unless you are a local because the roads are skinny and lots of traffic. The tour group we went with was excellent and John is very funny. Sit towards the front if you can.
