“Restaurant at The Ross Hotel - really nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2012

Had dinner at the Restaurant in The Ross Hotel Killarney recently, what a lovely place. The decor is really cool and it offers a really varied menu (and at great prices!).
They had a special value menu for €25 incl a Cocktail and your choice of 2-courses!
This was my second visit and the main course was so good the first time that I ordered exactly the same thing again this time.... and it was just as good! Prawns in a Tequila & herb flavoured sauce with Basmati Rice....
Will be back.... very soon, Thanks again.

Dear luckyriolnNV,

Thanks guys for your review. We really enjoyed your stay with us. Its a pity Jane and I didnt get to take samba lessons at the reception desk but next time! We hope you enjoy the rest of your trip to Ireland and we may see each other in Rio at another stage.

Didn't start too well, struggled to find in a wet Killarney, but got better afterwards.
Girlfriend disappointed no tea or coffee making facilities in room (how fussy!).
Went to local restaurant in evening (awful!). Then came back to hotel bar. Wish we had stayed here all night. Really cool with wonderful cocktails (and very large too!). I won't go into every detail of the room; others have. But I must comment on the nightlight in the bathroom great idea!
Breakfast was one of the best with a good selection.

Dear Mike_Whitfield,

Such a pity you arrived in Kilarney in the rain but we are delighted to hear your trip picked up once you checked in. We have tea/coffee making facilities available to all rooms on request. I am glad you liked the cocktails and next time you must eat with us as the food is fantastic!

This hotel is a gem! The decor is really funky and there are a few different lounges to relax in. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We were there over Easter and the manager suggested guided walks and good restaurants. Great set up with being able to use the spa in the hotel across the road too. The restaurant in the hotel had food to die for. We liked it so much that on our second night we took a late 9.30pm booking just so we could eat there again.

Room Tip: Killarney is a buzzing town so there will be noise from the local bars but the staff were helpful an...

My family and I stayed in the Ross for the Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. All of our rooms were spacious and comfortable- we loved the high beds and artistic decor- even the window in the bathroom! The staff couldn't of been nicer and incredibly helpful. The mini Easter eggs were a fun touch. We had a delicious meal in the Cellar restaurant on the first night of our stay. We also booked dinner for Sunday night and though we were eating late the service was excellent and we weren't rushed. On the recommendation of Jane in reception we went on a fantastic walk on the Sunday led by her father Mike O'Connor- the views were stunning and his explanations and insight into the local area made the walk very interesting. We had a great weekend and have already been recommending the Ross to friends and family.

Room Tip: If you will be staying in the hotel over the weekend ask for a room least affected by the noise comi...

Booked this hotel 2 days before we stayed there and i must say all the reviews should be described into just a Gem to stay at. Found our room smaller than I expected but its was well maintained and overall feel to the room was good. Food was very good, service was above the standard i was expecting and they were very friendly. Exceptional cocktails at the lane bar and its one of those hotels you find that you could stay in all night. Next time ill stay longer than just the one night.

Room Tip: Any Room...
