“A Fantastic World”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

The Killarney National Park is one of the oldest National Parks in the World. It includes the Lakes of Killarney of which the largest is Lough Leane or Loch Lein in Gaelic. Also included is Muckross Lake which I walked round today & found it a most enjoyable walk of about 9 miles that is if you do not get lost.

“Beautiful and historic”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

We enjoyed our guides telling us the history of the park itself, of the lands surrounding the park and the reason for the oddly shaped and sized farm plots.

“Beautiful scenery”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

We stopped to check out the sites of the park. Very beautiful and worth a stop. We treated our kids to a horse carriage ride. Our driver was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting facts along the way. We walked around the grounds of the house and up to Torc Waterfalls.

“An Irish treasure”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Killarney National Park is a true Irish treasure. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. The park is absolutely beautiful. If you like nature, there are stunning mountain views, amazing wildlife, and great walking trails. If history is more your thing, there is Ross Castle and the Muckross House and Gardens to also take in.

Sure, parts of the park fall into your Ring of Kerry tour, but this is a place you need to take in on your own. It is stunning. We visited two of the days we stayed in Killarney and still didn't get a chance to see everything Killarney National Park has to offer.

“Gorgeous”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Hike to the top of Torc waterfall, worth the views. All the sights are beautiful! Free admission to the park but not to all the sights but you can enjoy the outside of the castle and such for free
