“Great place to visit”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We stayed on the edge of town. The national park has many walks, albeit they are busy in July. Some great scenery and very relaxed place.
We took a jauntiness car into Muckross house, the Torc waterfall and after a long drive from Cork this was a good introduction to the area.
The weather was unusually warm so we tom the car up to ladies view. The traffic was annoying but we still enjoyed the trip.
The town is very touristy, but they work if well with Irish charm so for a base to the area the town is great.
Ideal for Dingle peninsula which we also visited.
I would return to the area again as it's great to egg to nearby places and if we had longer for bike rides, boats and walks them area would be perfect.
Ladies day at the races was on whilst we were there so it was very busy.

“Beautiful Oasis in Killarney”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

We visited this park during a recent stay in Killarney. It really is an oasis in the hustle and bustle of Killarney. The park is well maintained and a really excellent place for all ages.

“Beautiful Place!”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Green hills, pristine lakes and streams. . . narrow winding roads. . . small villages with friendly people. . . all good! Drive carefully and enjoy the lovely scenery. There are birds and small mammals, and lovely distant views but not much in the way of wilderness or wild life.

“A must see.”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

We almost by passed this because we thought it was just a park. So glad we didn't. There is so much to see and it is all beautiful and interesting. The tour of the house was very nice but touring the farms was outstanding. We didn't have time to take a jaunty ride and I'm sorry we didn't. This is definitely as important to see as the Ring of Kerry.

“Day out in Killarney”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

My great niece and I had a day out in Killarney last Saturday, visiting Ross castle, attending a very good free concert at Deenagh Lodge and from there visiting Muckross House. It was a most enjoyable day spent in this beautiful park with one exception. Our walk to and from Ross castle was marred by the smell of the horse dung which was constantly dropping from the jarveys' horses onto the paths. The horses had "dung catchers" attached to their rears but these were obviously not effective. Killarney council/tourism please take note!!
