Had a lovely overnight stay here. Had intended staying for three nights but unfortunately, due to family circumstances, we had to return home early. Staff were friendly and obliging and first impressions of the lobby area is wow! We felt very welcome and our room was lovely. We had bar food after arrival and it was delicious. The hotel is easy to find and within walking distance of townwhich is good. We would have loved to stay for some more pampering but will definitely return another time. Thank you to all in the hotel for looking after us.

We had a fabulous time in The Riverside Hotel, It was a beautiful Hotel, very luxurious, and also very very affordable. Its in an exellent location, walking distance from the town, and close to the INEC which is why we were there, (we went to a concert). I would definately opt to stay in this hotel again, Its was my sons first stay in a hotel and he loved it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

We arrived on the 1st of April and checked out on the 3rd of April. The hotel is a two minute drive outside the town of Killarney by the river and with a backdrop of the mountains.

Its lobby, bar and restaurant were clean and spacious - the staff friendly and helpful. We checked into our room which was a little tired looking but clean. The wardrobe was a an old fashioned looking standalone unit which looked as if it was going to fall forwards. The shower was powerfull but the showerhead could do with a clean and the bathroom over all needs some attention to detail.

WiFi, although free was ineffective in the room - very slow and did not work with my iPad ...only on my phone.

The Dinner in the restaurant was good and the service quick. Breakfast was OK, however the buffet line could do with modernizing- open bowls of cereal, stewed fruits and yoghurt are not very hygienic and make the line look messy. The hot breakfast had to be ordered but when it came was hot and tasted good.

All in all I would rate the hotel closer to a 3 star than a 4 simply becuase you get a great impression when you walk in but are disappointed when you reach the rooms .....and the breakfast needs to be a little more imaginative and modern.

We stayed here last year and loved it. It was just as good this time round. The Receptionist on duty was lovely. It makes a big change being greeted by someone with a nice manner to some of the grumpy receptionists we have come across in the last year.
The bed was really comfortable and we slept well for the weekend. Breakfast was very good. We had a drink in the bar before heading into Killarney town and the bar staff were very friendly. Reception called us a taxi when we were ready to head in.
Glad we went back to stay here and will definitely book it again when we are down in July for our wedding anniversary.

Hi, stayed in the riverside hotel last weekend 23/24 March, the service was fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was very good quality. Overall a really nice hotel only minutes walk from the town centre and great value compared to other hotels in the area

We went to this hotel for a one night dinner, bed and breakfast stay (Lidl package). The hotel reception was beautiful and reception staff were very friendly. Sadly, our room which was situated at the back of the hotel (we did ask for a quiet room) was very dissapointing. It was of average size but the very black, huge free standing wardrobe and matching chest of drawers made it feel very small. The drawers needed to be coaxed open as many of them were stuck. The room was next to a generator or fan? which went on and off every 20minutes or so and it did so all night so no proper sleep was possible. We did have a drink in the bar which had no atmosphere at all and the restaurant, although it did have a nice atmosphere and good food, had very slow service due to lack of staff I think. We did complain and the young lady on reception had a sympathetic look on her face as she promised to pass our complaint re: the noisy room onto the manager, but we knew that everyone they put into that room must complain and obviously they still use it. We never heard from that manager either.

Room Tip: Not at the back!
