“Gem of a find”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Myself and my partner booked two nights here in May. We had one good day of weather to enjoy Killarney, and one wet day to enjoy the glamping. Grove lane was such a gorgeous little hide away, and the tents so beautiful and cosy with our little stove, Indian style lanterns, beautiful furniture, very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, that the weather didn't matter so much. The location is beautiful, with a river running through the back of the property, horses in fields next door, friendly cat. There is facilities for a outdoor fire. Each tent has own kitchen, all very well kept Shared Toilets and extra kitchen area, always clean. Lovely showers, very warm with changing area. Mike and Linda, the owners are very helpful and welcoming. All in all we had a very good experience.

Myself and better half decided to head off without kids for a few days and headed for grove lane. Tents are big comfortable and warm thanks to the wood burner. Each have a little kitchen with enough to cook breakfast etc. found the owners to be very helpful - good advise on where to eat n drink in town. I really enjoyed the experience.

My family and I had a fantastic time at Grove Lane. The owners could not have been more thoughtful and accommodating. We stayed for a full week and we would have stayed another if we could. It did help that the weather was glorious. The glampsite is set in a beautiful location with mature trees and meadow. I've given 5 stars for children's activies simlpy because there is plenty of space for children to roam around safely. We didn't make use of the pool facilities down the road beacuse the weather was so good. My husband and I had the bell tent and the owners had put up a 3 man tent for our 2 boys (aged 5 and 6 at the time). I thought they would be in to us in the middle of the night but they loved having their own space and felt very safe at night and we had our own space too! Grove Lane is close to Kilarney town. You could walk into town it would take approx 30 minutes at a slow pace. I would recommend Grove Lane to anyone it's great for couples or small families.

It was our first time trying glamping and it was a great experience. We were welcomed by Linda on site and showed around, very friendly and helpful. Everything you need was there(bbq, fuel for the stove etc) All you needed was food and drink. The bed was so comfy even better than hotel beds. id recommend it if you wanted to try something different and just chill out:)

I stayed here at the end of September and I have to say we enjoyed ourselves sooo much. when we arrived I was a bit worried about the limited space as we had our two small children with us but we had loads. its lovely in the morning for them to be able to get up and run around the front lawn. it is just outside Killarney town and perfectly located with easy access to all the main roads. The owners are super friendly and so so welcoming, my daughter was sick on the first night and Linda came out at 9pm and gave me medicine for her and was truly concerned which I thought was lovely, they are really happy to have you there and it is not just a service. The kitchen area was perfect and supplied all you need in regards to utensils and the bathrooms and shower rooms are always spotless which I am sure is not easy with people sharing. It was getting a bit cold at night so I would advise staying earlier in the summer but we managed and had lots and lots of covers. I don't really have anything negative to say about the place, it is lovely for kids and we had a great time. we have recommended it to all our friends and will be back again for sure.

Had a great stay here for 2 nights with my girlfriend. The stove inside the tent is brilliant. The staff were so so friendly, best service we have ever had. Very private and intimate setting. All we had to bring was towels. Everything else was covered. Will be going back again in the not so distant future.

Myself, my boyfriend and my 7 year old son stayed for a week in August! We have never been camping before and Glamping is definitely the way to go! Everything is provided for all your needs from gas stove, BBQ and the warmest bed linen! The location was perfect with a short distance to the town and supermarkets all around! Free access to the swimming pool is a perfect way to end a hectic sight seeing day! Will be back again!
