Description: We opened "The Porterhouse Gastropub" in the height of the recession in December 2011, year on year business has continued to grow. We pride ourselves in serving good pub grub accompanied with live music. We have a full bar, which is known to be a lively spot on the weekends. We offer live music 7 nights a week - all year round. If you are looking for a quiet fine dining meal in a restaurant environment, we aren't the place for you.

We had a meal here on our trip and it was very nice. The fish and chips was spectacular, really well cooked and a huge portion. The fajitas were very nice too and the service was excellent. The menu provided nice choices. The food wasnt overly expensive but it wasnt cheap either. Two meals and two starters came to about 60 euro. Would recommend it to a friend.

We had a good meal there, portions are generous, wine list is fair, service is decent and we liked the live music for the ambiance. On the improvable side, tables are a bit packed and light is scarce.

It wasn't too crowded when we went there and the food was pretty good. We had lamb, burgers, and fish & chip. I had the fish & chip and it was pretty good. Not greasy at all. They gave you a good size portion and of course, it all goes down really good with a pint!!
I would recommend this place in Killarney if you want to go to 'other than a pub'.

Husband said his steak was tasteless. Mine was average.Poor value for the quality of food. Service was great despite being busy. Disappointing after reading great reviews.
