Challenging and enjoyable course suitable for about age 11 + (height dependent and they are very strict about this for safety reasons). The natural setting and the course built into old trees is impressive. As a family we've done other similar ropes courses but this one is one of the best. My son (9) was disappointed he was too short this time and found the lower course too easy. A mid range course would be a great addition!

We had a brilliant afternoon at the high ropes. I would highly recommend it for young and old.
The staff were excellent, and everyone was well suited out, with harness, helmet etc and we got a safety briefing on how the ropes worked etc. Safety is paramount here. Staff were plentiful on the ground and always willing to help if stuck !
There are two courses, low ropes for the younger kids and the high ropes for the older
Height restrictions apply.
Children had a ball, great for teenagers, I thought that it was a little expensive at €18 per child, especially if you have a few.

Getting out with teens and so something which attracts and keep their attention is not easy nowadays. But the High Rope Course was an astonishing experience for young and old.
A big point: Security well done from the "GROUND TEAM" we all got harness, helmet and gloves. An introduction into how the rope system and the zip wire work provided an extra portion on safety. You are connected from the beginning to the end of the course, very professional and safe. The course itself lead you high up through the wood and is not very demanding, but it depends on your experience and balance.
Overall the kids and parents loved it, Great fun.

It was sooooo worth the money. we had so much fun. definitely one of the highlights of our tour in Ireland. the older kids had a blast and the younger kids course was a great challenge for their age too. you'll need at least two adults with you, if you have kids of different ages. (although the older kids, if confident enough, could do the older one on their own, while you have coffee.)

My daughter and I found ourselves in Killarney on an 8 day small guided tour of Ireland (which turned out to be just the 2 of us and the driver). We stayed at the Earls Court House Hotel a short walking distance from town center. We found ourselves with an afternoon free after seeing the Lakes of Killarney via the Irish Jaunting Cart which you ride from the center of town. Then, we toured Muckross House and Gardens. We also visited Ross Castle while in Killarney National Park.

For our afternoon, we decided to go to the horse races which are within walking distance from the town center. What a wonderful afternoon and one of the highlights of the trip.
Killarney Racecourse is without doubt Ireland’s Most Scenic Racecourse. With the magnificent McGuillycuddy Reeks, Lakes of Killarney and Ross Castle providing the backdrop, the view as the horses pass the finishing line can only be described as breathtaking.

We just walked up and purchased a ticket. Walked into these beautiful grassy grounds where people were sitting at picnic tables next to the track. There were grandstands also. We purchased tickets to sit in the clubhouse with dinner included and watched the races from a second floor room with an outside balcony overlooking the paddock. Had we known how few people attended these races we would have just purchased an entry ticket and sat at a picnic table and purchased food from the vendors. Races were over around 8:30 p.m. and still light so we walked back to town.

If you want to feel a part of the Irish culture with no tour buses, this is the place.
