stayed here with my friend last night, we were in Killarney for a concert, the manager James was so helpful, arranged taxi's for us, our room was fabulous so comfortable, this hotel is situated in the heart of killarney, walking distance to all the shops and nightlife, the guest house is extremely clean and very well run, i would recommend it for a romantic break, trip with friends or family, ideal for all types. the guest house is very quiet we were not subjected to any noises. the breakfast was absolutely lovely, and the staff were so well presented and friendly. I would recommend this hotel highly and will most definitely be using it for all my future trips to Killarney

We selected the Fairview for its location, amenities and discount off season price. I definitely feel like we got a bargain-- we stayed in a jr suite and paid a very reasonable price. The room was quite clean and attractive. It wasn't as charming as I would have hoped but the furnishings were nice and the bathroom was very luxurious.
In reading the other reviews we knew to expect a possible service problem, we can certainly see what the complaints were about with regard to the main front desk person. Each of our inquiries were met with very curt replies. It wasn't enough to bother us but if you are someone looking for a nice chat and lots of advice about what to see, the service may bother you.
The breakfasts were good, though I wouldn't consider them great. And a final nitpicky thing-- the "fireplace" in the jr suite is one of those electric flickering flame things that don't put out heat. Nice to look at but not the cozy fireplace we imagined.

It looked like a super cozy place and more likek a hotel then 'guset accomodation'. The Check-In was quick and easy with friendly staff and the room was perfect. We stayed in the Standard category but yet it was spacious enough and the bathroom ( with tube) was very nice. Everything was super clean. Amenities and towels, hairdryer, ice bucket - everything you would need. The location was great - nice pubs and restaurants just a few meters ( really - 5 -10 meters) away from the entrace. Also they provide complimentary over night parking if needed.
Breakfast was plenty ( and included in the rate) with continental breakfast and then a choice of a-la-carte ( Irish Breakfast, Pancakes, Omlette etc) surely everyone would find something for their taste.
The staff was very nice - although in the morning we only found one person taking care of the reception and restaurant and he seemed very busy - but yet very professional and enthusiastic and very quick. Great work Bart!
Would go back anytime! Great place for one night or more!

One can only say good things, about this hotel! The staff was warm, friendly and most helpful. Rooms were spotless, well appointed and inviting. Bathrooms were immaculate. Breakfast offerings were varied and delicious - I loved the pancakes! The lobby and lounge were grand places to rest and recoup before heading out around the town and beyond. Everything in the heart of Killarney is within walking distance of The Fairview. This hotel is a true example of legendary Irish hospitality. I hope we can visit and stay again in the future.

Stayed here with my teenage son for two nights. Got a very good March offer including breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and the service was excellent. The location is fantastic whether you want to drive or walk to it. Breakfast was excellent and varied even if they have rather strange uncomfortable "modern design" knives (definately should be changed in favour of something more conventional) . The room was also great with a perfect bathroom. They asked us to put a review on TA, but I would have done that anyway, I've no problem with that. I would really defininately stay here again as good accomadation in Killarney with good clean heated rooms is not always guaranteed.

We called in on a very wet and cold night, our host was so lovely and we got a great price for the room with a spa bath and fantastic bed, it was so central and we found a great restaurant round the corner. We were only going to stay for one night but after our sleep and then breakfast we decided to extend our stay, the staff are absolutely great, our waiter at breakfast was super and the breakfast was to die for. I can't recommend this place enough 10 out of 10 for us.
