This is a lovely small hotel. It has great character. Very attentive staff. Got lovely coffee and biscuits on arrival. Lovely breakfast which was served to us. Great wifi. Such comfortable beds. Thumbs up from start to finish. Our stay was too short. Next time we will stay for longer please God.

Room Tip: To the back would be quieter than front.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a romantic getaway to Killarney in October. We stayed in a junior suite, and it was absolutely gorgeous.
The decor in the bedroom was exquisite and it really had a homely feeling.
It had a beautiful sleigh, king-sized bed and lovely antique, wooden furniture.
There was an average sized jacuzzi in the bathroom, it could have been a little bigger for comfort.
We had beautiful breakfast each morning, offering something to suit everyone.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Pity this near faultless hotel refuses to put the heating on in the winter. On getting to my room I had someone check all the settings and got heat for one hour! Another call to reception and it was put on again for another few hours. Luckily I'm not a fan of heating during the night!
but when I woke in the morning it was cold again and uncomfortable. On the way to breakfast again no heating on anywhere. Do us a favour, charge a bit more if you have to and "put the heat on"

We stayed at the Fairview for 3 nights 15th-18th November. The room was huge and the bathroom was perfectly adapted for my husband whose in a wheelchair. The staff were excellent and could not do enough to help us. The breakfast was lovely and there was a lot of choice on the menu. We have stayed in many different hotels in Killarney but the room and facilities at the Fairview are the best we have come across so far and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed at The Fairview for one night Nov 15th 2013 and i must say i was well impressed. The rooms are very well maintained and so cosy.We satyed in a twin room which had very comfortable single and double beds. The bathroom was spotless and the tea and coffee provided was ample for our needs. On the saturday morning we ate a beautiful full Irish breakfast in a relaxing yet welcoming dining room. The location is also a plus for me very central to the town amenities but out of the night time noise which of course you can expect in Killarney at the weekends but we didnt hear a sound and slept like babies..The car park is situated across the street from the hotel which is so handy. So as i said at the start we will definitely be returning to The Fairview...

We stayed in the penthouse suite of the Fairview for 3 night's recently and had a wonderful time.
The room was stunning with 4 poster bed, double jacuzzi, tv in bathroom, a lovely fireplace and more. It would make you not to want to leave.

The staff are extremely friendly and polite. The breakfast was also delicious. While the breakfast room is slightly small we had no problems finding room.

Killarney town centre is literally on your doorstep. Parking is available at a cost of 3 € per 24 hours and is only 2 minutes walk.

One thing I thought was slightly excessive was room service breakfast charge at €13.00 for 2 people

All told the Fairview is a wonderful place to spend a few days in killarney.

Positive: Great stay in the Fairview, characteristic building well maintained, central location but still quiet, a la carte breakfast is not that common, good and friendly service, parking facility, overall good value.
Room for improvement: the mattress of our king bed was due for replacement, sound proofing between the rooms is rather poor although of course pending on your neighbors this could be much better (for instance you can hear the Jacuzzi’s clear)
