This is a very nice B&B close to center city Killarney and close to other attractions such as Ross Castle. Kathy was very friendly and provided us with a wonderful breakfast with many choices the next morning. The room was very nice and the bathroom was much larger than other B&B's. Great B&B!!

Since talking on the phone with Kathy to make a reservation to the check out moment, our stay went as smooth as it gets. Kathy is an excellent host and runs this B&B with efficiency, friendliness and really makes you feel at home. My husband and I felt as if we were staying at a friends house instead of a paid accommodation. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy, everything was spotless clean, the bathroom/shower was good. The location of this B&B is off the main road, in a secluded garden in the back of some houses so when you wake up in the morning all you can hear are the birds and if you look out of the window there is green galore! Very calming, very soothing for city folks like us. If you want to get to the hustle bustle of Killarney you can walk for about 15 minutes and you are then close to restaurants, pubs and the very touristy scene of Killarney. Breakfast is another part of our stay I must comment: it is simply divine! Kathy is an excellent cook and you can choose from a number of options and she cooks it for you. Fresh from the kitchen. Not to mention the eggs that are from the chickens she has at the back of the b&b. You can't get any more fresh eggs than that. The only thing that I would like to say on the down side is that the internet (wi-fi) only works in the living room area and not in the bedroom. So that was not very good for us because even though we are on vacation my husband and I need to be connected, sometimes in odd hours, and having to leave the room to go to the living area where other guests would be mingling didn't suit us that well. However, that for sure would not prevent us from coming back to this charming lovely place and strongly recommend it to our family and friends. Memorable experience . Best place ever during our stay in Ireland.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any room here. The location of the property makes it very quiet .

We are currently staying in the b&b and we absolutely love the place! Kathy is the sweetest woman; she is extremely welcoming and friendly. Every morning she cooks a delicious breakfast with multiple options. She truly makes this b&b a home away from home. Thank you for everything, Kathy!

My wife and I stayed here a few days in September 2013. We felt like we struck gold. Clean large rooms with an amazing breakfast. Best breakfast in Ireland. We definitely will be staying here again in the future. Don't pass this place up as I doubt you will find better!

Getting a bit lost, we ended up arriving late and were worried about the time. Our host was welcoming and helped us with our bags. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a great shower. Breakfast was one of the best on our trip with great eggs and my pancake was delicious. I like how she offers a selection of things to eat-not many b and bs do this. This location is very close to the Ring of Kerry as well and town center. Highly recommend Applecroft for your next stay!
