“Excellent B&B in Killarney”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Sunnybank B&B in Killarney was the last stop of our cycling tour of the south west of Ireland. It was not a disappointment. Our room and Brendan's service were excellent. Although we had to leave very early, Brendan set up breakfast for us. We appreciated the proximity of the B&B to the railway (and bus) stations.

My husband and I stayed in Killarney for 1 night before starting our hike along the Kerry Way. The B&B was arranged through our hiking company, and we were pleased with the accommodations overall. Our hosts were very pleasant (and Brendan has a very witty sense of humor). We were served a lovely breakfast in the morning. I was even feeling a bit ill in the morning and Brendan brought me some ginger drink he had to help settle my stomach. The B&B was cute and clean, though our room was tiny. It did, however, have a nice balcony to enjoy the fresh air. It is directly across from the bus station, which was very convenient since we traveled everywhere by bus, and it was located just on the outer edge of the city center--very close to the pubs and shops.

Very happy with our stay. Brendan is a very up beat and friendly host whom asked every morning if he could help with our daily plans or offer directions. Breakfast was good and there was tea, water and biscuits available all day. The location was perfect, a short drive to all the major tourist sites but also a short walk to dowtown Killarney shopping and food/pubs. Our only concern was the wifi was in and out, more out than in. Brendan was very apologetic and reset the router but unfortunately we kept loosing the signal.
Overall very happy with the stay. Was VERY clean and would definitely stay again

We stayed at Sunnybank for 3 nights and it was my favorite B&B of the trip! Brendan is a wonderful host and so helpful! Our room was very clean and very comfortable. While the B&B is very close to the city center, I never had any problems with noise.

We arrived (and left) by bus and Sunnybank is directly across the street... you can't beat that kind of convenience. We got recommendations from Brendan on where to eat and what to do. He set us up with a day tour of Dingle and they picked us up right in the parking lot of the B&B. The breakfast was great. I always ate the full Irish breakfast and it was delicious.

I can't stress enough how wonderful this place is! This is a must-stay if you'll be in Killarney. Also, Killarney itself is really beautiful and we wished we could have stayed longer.

This is a fantastic place to stay. It is across street from bus station and a shopping mall. Our room was very clean, bright and cheerful. Very confortable beds and spacious room. It was so nice having a microwave, tea kettle available to use and a grocery within walking distance. The shopping area and pubs are very close for walking. Breakfast was great and the hosts pleasant and informative. The only place to stay.

Room Tip: We had a room on first floor and it was close to sitting room where microwave was located

While most reviewers report on a two or three night stay, this is a review based on 12 days. The B & B was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. Very quite - no midnight awakenings. The owner and staff outstanding and always ready to offer assistance when needed but never intrusive. Much laughter from the guest with encouragement from our host.

The location is the best. A stones trough from the train stations and across the street from the bus station. When spent many hours in city center, a 5 minute walk. We were able to walk down for a while then back to the B & B then walk back to the city. Great for the walk back after a Guinness and an evening of traditional music. We would return again and again.

Room Tip: Host will work with you. Just tell him your needs.

We're a family with two childs from Barcelona. We spent there for 3 days(august 2013).
It's just in front of the bus and train station, just one minut walking, you can see it.
The bedroom was quite big and comfortable. The beds were accommodatives. The shower was really big! But there were missing some shelves at the bathroom. It was clean.
There was a living room, where you can find coffe, tea, biscuits and magazines. But there was only one tipe of tea, and for those who loves tea I make the suggerencia to amplify the variety.
Don't miss their breakfast!

Really recommended.

Room Tip: Room 6 luminous.
