The husband and wife team, he cooks she smozzes and serves makes for a delight full stay. Within walking distance of a bustling small city center there is much to do heading off from this B & B. Also good helpfull hints of where and what to do compliment the modern rooms and excellent breakfast.

big pluss for me was the national park, with Red Deer herd, large trees, gurgling brook, lakes and mountains. All with easy trails to walk.

Room Tip: seems that a East or West facing room gives good views. With the West facing towards the famous Killarney National Park.

This b&b is run by mrs Greta Doyle, who answers every question you have before going there, and while being there , exactly feels what you like or not as a guest; I had a wonderful & quiet single room with view to the gardens, the place is just minutes from the city centre, rooms are cleaned every day, etc etc

hidden gem!!

thank you , Greta

Don't plan on eating lunch after a hearty breakfast at Algret! Very nice hostess and good twin room. Good advice on what to see and where to eat in Killarney. Short walk into town centre. Highly recommend Algret House!

We took Scottish friends of ours to visit Killarney a week ago and I had booked into Algret House. Never having been there before and having stayed in some great B&Bs, I was concerned it wouldn't live up to expectations. I needn't have worried! The accommodation was very clean, roomy and comfortable - more like 4 star than 3. The breakfasts were all hot and cooked to order - congratulations to Greta's hubbie. Greta herself was friendly, helpful and in fact couldn't do enough for us. Our friends were very impressed and we'll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Our front room had a beautiful view of the mountains.

Fantastic service, delicious breakfast, spotless room and public areas. All this for €50 per room. Greta is an outstanding host, she couldn't have been more helpful. We were looked after incredibly well. Highly recommended.
