Lee and I have stayed in self contained accommodation in Killarney a number of times over the last few years and most recently in December 2014/January 2015 when we rented 3 Fair Hill House adjacent to the Railway Station. The address has been recently renovated and I'm pretty sure that we were the first couple to stay there - so everything was absolutely pristine. There were some rather thoughtful touches added to the welcome pack such as tea and sugar etc which further enhanced our sense of well being on arrival.
The house comprises a ground floor kitchen, dining room and front parlour with stairs leading up to 2 good size bedrooms on the 1st floor. The kitchen is very well equipped with a halogen range, fan forced oven, micro wave and good size fridge. In addition there is a dish washer and washing machine.
Both BR's have on suites; the main has a comfortable queen size double bed and the other sleeps 3 (double bed and a single).
There is a ROW (with dual access to Fair Hill Road) at the rear of the property with a dedicated parking spot and a very big court yard that would be ideal for summer activities such as a BBQ or other out door type functions.
The property is very secure with double locks on the front and rear entrances and even though it is right on Fair Hill road there is little to no noise pollution.
It is also ideally situated to all town facilities with most being within 10 minutes or so of a comfortable stroll.
In terms of improvement the only suggestion I would make would be to provide access to satellite TV as the local Irish channels that are currently available are rather limited in content and actual viewing time/s.
