Stayed at Ballygarry House for two nights 18th & 19th May. From the moment we walked into the hotel there was a relaxed homely feel and a lovely receptionist Marianne to greet us. Dined in the restaurant that evening - really tasty food and all the staff very attentive but not overpowering. Bar staff also lovely, quick to serve us and they all seemed happy at their work which you dont often see nowadays, a credit to the Management! We didnt have the time to use the Spa but will definitely book some treatments the next time we stay. Michelle on reception at check-out was lovely, asked were we happy with everything - so pleasant. You wont be disappointed thats all I can say!

Room Tip: Stay in Room 305 - beautiful suite!

Dear Gaffney22,

Thank you for taking the time to add a review of your stay with us in May. I have passed on your kind words to Marianne and Michelle, and of course to all of our staff. They are a very kind hard working staff and I am delighted that you were able to stay with us and experience this.

I hope to see you again soon, and maybe you will book that Spa treatment!

Kindest regards,
Padraig McGillicuddy

This hotel has to be the best one in Munster, even Ireland really!! The hotel is just fantastic in every respect, I would make sure that a visit to Tralee to stay here is a must. We recently stayed here on a family break with our 3 year old son. At first I wasn't sure how family friendly the hotel was and took on board other reviewers comments, well the hotel is very family friendly the staff are just top top class in this respect. They could not do enough for us and for my son they were so friendly, he even got a trip to the kitchen where is was given his own chefs hat and chefs apron. The staff were just superb and the hotel management should be so proud. Everything about our stay was wonderful, the food, the room, the grounds the hotel is on and the friendliness of the staff and how they made my son so welcome and chatted away to him all weekend. He went home and talked about the stay for days after and wanted to know if we will go back and we said we will. Another item to note was in the family deal a trip to the Aquadome and Toby world which added great value to the trip. This hotel is top class and should be put top of the list for places to stay in Ireland!!

We recently stayed here for a midweek break and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! The staff were lovely, the room was beautiful and cosy and the food in Brooks was just wonderful. The housekeepers were lovely also and very accommodating whenever we needed extra toiletries etc. We also got a turn-down service each evening, with chocolates and a 'thank you' note left on our pillows. Guests also have complimentary access to the hotel's thermal suite, which we made use of a few times during our stay- it was such a relaxing way to wind down after a day of being out and about in Kerry. Location wise, the hotel is situated a few minutes drive away from Tralee town center, around an hour from Dingle and 45 minutes from Killarney. Luckily we had our car, which made it convenient enough to travel around.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning on staying in Kerry!

Room Tip: The rooms on the first floor were pretty quiet and gave a nice view of the surrounding scenery.

We can't sing the praises of this hotel highly enough! From our initial greeting in reception, the homely and helpful bar staff, the wonderful food, the beautiful room with added, personal extra's like the beautiful card and home baked cookies waiting for us to acknowledge our wedding anniversary (not even a big one!) the beautiful gardens, the list goes on. We asked for a room away from the noise of the function room and this wasn't a problem - indeed nothing was a problem! It was our pleasure to stay there and we WILL be back! Our sincere thanks to everybody!

5 star experince from start to finish, having been to top class resturants like ,the G galwey. Dromoland castle, la stampa, etc etc, this ranks up there with the best of them, serving locally sourced food with great service consistenly is what marks this place out. plush surroundings each table seems to have its own privacy and the staff are not in your face as in some resturants. A credit to tralee and everyone talks about the great resturants in killarney, but this would challenge them on all fronts, trust me, you wont be sorry,

We stayed a week using their special packages. You need to book these on the hotel own website and had a dinner b&b (delicious food) and a 3 night golden years special including dinner and spa treatments. You can also use the sauna, hot tub and steam room for free as a guest.
VERY comfortable bed and delightful seating area in room. Excellent breakfast, dinners and bar snacks. The staff most helpful and friendly. Would recommend to all.
