My wife and I dined at Darcys on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by friendly staff who made great recommendations. We had the early bird menu to choose from as well as the a la carte. We went for the early bird which has a supplement for their steaks. I have to recommend the hot rock fillet. The taste was amazing, almost barbeque like in flavour. My wife had seabass which was beautifully served and cooked. Presentation of food and quality was fantastic at an early bird price!! Will definitely return. Wonderful food and staff.

We visited here after checking tripadvisor. They couldn't have been more helpful. I had Steak and they did Salmon especially for my mother. The parsnip crisps were really tasty and the rest of the food was so tasty. The desserts also mouth watering. This was a very pleasant first visit to this restaurant. They were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend and return.

My missus championed this restaurant to me, after a tasting session, and I subsequently booked for a Friday night. Loved the look of the dishes on the specials board. Lovely, warm welcome, and service great throughout the meal. Beautiful artwork on the walls. Restaurant was uncomfortably cool through air conditioning, and when waitress mentioned she had a few customers complaints, was wondering why nothing had been done about it. Nice wine list. Menus physically far too large for simple choices and we were lost behind them. Starter of rabbit loin was a beautiful, stunning dish, well balanced, sweet, yet smoky, with delicate, enhancing garnishes. Wish the meal had stopped there. Both mains, slightly over seasoned sea bass, and slightly slimy brill were sloppily finished and too much going on the plate. Far too many sides seemed wasteful. Desert was excellently presented but quite basic, and lacking finesse of flavour. 103 Euro seemed excessive. Never like to see a chef puffing away on a cigarette out the front on leaving. The chef is obviously talented, has eye for palate combinations, and good to see local produce being pushed, but the execution not quite there. Will, however, give it a second go.
