We had our daughters wedding in Ballyroe Heights Hotel in May and I just had to write in and praise this beautiful hotel. The support my daughter got from the Managers in planning her wedding was second to none. On the day of her wedding, everything was to perfection from the moment she entered the hotel and throughout the whole evening. The layout of the ballroom was beautiful and the attention to detail was something worth noting. The meal was delicious, better than we could have imagined, and for days after our guests were still commenting on the high standard of this hotel. From reading the other comment, we found this hotel to be extremely good value for money and the alcohol prices were not over the top. They were the same as you would pay anywhere else. I would recommend this hotel for any occasion and am looking forward to being a guest at a wedding again there in October.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The wedding reception was very well managed and the food was good.
As guests staying at the hotel we thought it was rather expensive for the type of hotel (no gym, pool etc). Drinks at the bar were expensive at 10.30 euros for a pint of beer + gin & tonic.
The Summit Restaurant is now only used for breakfast meals with lunch and evening meals provided in the bar downstairs, which is a shame as the views upstairs from the Summit Room are beautiful.
Breakfast was well cooked - on the menu was full Irish, eggs in different guises and grilled plaice. The cold menu was yoghurt, cereals and fruit. Drinks included orange juice, but not as we know it! Staff did confirm that it was indeed orange juice - I agree it was orange and it was juice, but it did not taste good so we stuck with the water and coffee!
In the bar, the food was expensive considering it did not appear to be freshly made on site. For example the mash looked and tasted as though it is reconstituted from powder and my wife asked if she could have a sandwich filling in a pitta bread with salad, a reasonable request we thought as there was filled pitta with chips on the menu. They came back and said that they couldn't do that as the pitta meal was pre-made.
In summary - a very good wedding venue but not somewhere we will be rushing back to for a holiday experience.

I would like to thank all the staff at Ballyroe Heights Hotel for the wonderful time we had there for Michelle's 40th Birthday and baby Nicole's Christening on the 5th and 15th of November, 2009. The atmosphere created by you all was exactly what we wanted and the food was exceptional - especially the roast beef!!!
Thanks again, Tom Fitzmaurice, Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry.

This is an excellent hotel, well appointed and with fabulous views. The rooms are spacious and well fitted out with tea and coffee making facilities as well as hairdryer.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The staff are firendly and helpful. Meals are excellent and there are bar meals in the bar if you prefer not to eat in the restaurant. The bar has a pool table and enetertainment from time to time. We had a most enjoyable stay and the hotel is ideal for all perhaps with the exception of young children as there is no swimming pool or play area. The only disadvantage is that is is out of Tralee and you need a car or taxi to get into town. However, it is well situated for visits to Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and The Dingle Peninsular. We enjoyed a brillian stay at the Ballyroe Heights and would definitely stay there again.!

The service wasexcellant enjoyed being served by an all irish staff as opposed to other hotels I've stayed at that have all eastern european staff.
The rooms were clean and well furnished - bed a little firm for me.
Fantastic views from the front of the hotel and a good seating area out front. Plenty of car parking but very little grounds to walk in. Location too far fromTralee if you havent got a car.

Stayed at Ballyroe for a wedding in July and the service was amazing start to finish. Receptionist couldnt have been more friendlier and nothing was a problem. The meal was amazing and staff really made you feel at ease. The bedrooms were spotless and very modern. Keep up the good work well done to management and staff and dont change a thing!
