We recently attended a wedding at this hotel and were pleasantly suprised. On arrival we recieved a warm welcome from a very friendly front desk.Good buzz in the bar and the wedding room was nicely decorated. Food very good, we also ate lunch on the Sunday and it was tasty. Some of the Guests had issues with the heating on the ground floor. It seemed like only the upper floors had heat, which I personally found very warm.Management provided heaters which helped.
I Would recomend this hotel.

I attended a wedding here at the end of january and was expecting the usual rushed service and indifference that some hotels give when you're at a wedding. However, what a great surprise! The staff were wonderful, the hotel warm and very welcoming and the canapes plentiful and on offer from the minute we arrived.
The hotel itself is set with wonderful views and is beautifully decorated, combining the old and the new sections of the hotel very well.
The pictures are a good example, but need to also include the function room which has a lovely verandah for people to go out and is furnished and well lit, perfect as an add on for a hot summer wedding or function.
The rooms are well decorated, clean and the beds are very comfortable.
The food served at the wedding was beautifully cooked, well presented and the staff very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are a credit to the owners.
Breakfast the next morning was in the panoramic restaurant. Cereals, fruit juice and fresh fruit were self service and a selection of cooked breakfast was on offer in addition, again well cooked and hot.
I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel for a short break or a wedding venue. It is a ten minute drive from Tralee town centre, plenty of parking and beautiful drives to the beach.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights during the long weekend in Oct, we got great value for money. Very modern hotel on the outside but inside is a mix of old and new which works very well. Very clean, great staff genuinely friendly and chatty. Our room was on 2nd floor with a balcony which we didn't expect, so good surprise. Fab views from the balcony. Had dinner in bar on the first night in one of the booths, very cosy, couldn't fault it. It was around 5 min drive into the town, which was fine we had no problem finding parking in the town at any time, lots of cafes with great food in town. We travelled to Kilarney from this hotel as we thought the hotels in Kilarney were overpriced. Kilarney is only around 35 - 40 min away and well worth the visit. We were very happy with our stay here. Would recommend to couples and families.

Just had to write in relation to the amazing time we had at our wedding in Ballyroe Heights Hotel on the June Bank Holiday weekend 2010. From the minute we booked our wedding reception with Mark (hotel manager) approx 18 mths before our wedding day nothing was ever a problem with them. I had being over and back liasing with them as I do not live in Co.Kerry any more in relation to all details of the reception and all I ever heard back from them was 'thats not a problem' and it never was, every meinute detail was listened to and carried out. We also had the pleasure of dealing with Mike (another manager) who was with us on the day of our wedding and everything we asked for/needed he was there on hand. In relation to the hotel as a whole, scenery in Ballyroe is breathtaking not many Tralee hotels can offer this, food at reception was piping hot, served quickly and never heard so many people talk after a wedding on the food. As half our guests were not from Kerry and made the trip for the weekend we still hear reports back on what a great weekend they had in Ballyroe Heights and the food always gets a mention especially the mashed turnips!! Overall for weddings in the Tralee area you cannot beat Ballyroe as a whole package- it has the scenery, service, great food, great accomadation for us it was just perfect, I cannot recommend enough Ballyroe Heights Hotel for any type of occasion- hope to be back there soon.

What a clean lovely hotel, reception were fantastic as was bar and housekeeping staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. We found 2 faults, one being that you had to eat your dinner in the evening in the bar, whch on 2 ccasions was full, so we had to wait to eat, not easy when you have a 16mth old baby with you. There was a tour that weekend at the hotel but they got their evening meals upstairs while other paying guests had to wait for tables in the bar area, which was largely made up of non paying guests, just people out for a nice dinner. Dont get me wrong the food was lovely but why when we were paying guests did we have to queue with everyone else for a table. Second gripe was that there was no entertainment whatsoever, and no shuttle service or likewise to take you into Tralee. These are not major gripes just niggles that should be improved on, all in all we had a lovely time and couldnt fault our stay in general, we would recommend ths hotel to others!

I attended a wedding in Ballyroe over the weekend, I didn't know the hotel very well and didn't have huge expectations, I was very pleasantly surprised, it was a big wedding with choices on all courses but all food was delivered piping hot and service was quick, staff were plentiful and all very courteous. Function room was lovely as well the public areas.

We had our daughters wedding in Ballyroe Heights Hotel in May and I just had to write in and praise this beautiful hotel. The support my daughter got from the Managers in planning her wedding was second to none. On the day of her wedding, everything was to perfection from the moment she entered the hotel and throughout the whole evening. The layout of the ballroom was beautiful and the attention to detail was something worth noting. The meal was delicious, better than we could have imagined, and for days after our guests were still commenting on the high standard of this hotel. From reading the other comment, we found this hotel to be extremely good value for money and the alcohol prices were not over the top. They were the same as you would pay anywhere else. I would recommend this hotel for any occasion and am looking forward to being a guest at a wedding again there in October.
