“Traditional B&B ”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

Great location to stop off for the night whilst driving the Ring of Kerry. Comfy king size bed, beautiful Victorian furnishings, hearty breakfast and a lovely host. Represents what a true B&B is, highly recommend staying here.

Great B&B just minutes' walk from city center. Quiet area. Juliette and Gerald O'Callaghan were perfect hosts. King size bed in beautifully furnished room, with bed turn-down in the evening. Great Irish breakfast. Hosts provided lots of local info before we headed out for the day. Provided maps and ideas. Also gave each of us a mini chocolate cake for the road. Ask Juliette for the background info on the pictures in the dining room - great stories! If using GPS to locate the B&B, turn left onto Morderwell Road when you get to the T-junction by the library. House on left after turning. We'll definitely stay with them again.

Room Tip: Ask for the king bed room in the front.

Juliette was an excellent host making us feel welcome instantly after a last minute booking. The B&B is contained within a charming house and very close walking distance to the main streets of Tralee. The beds were very big and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. Juliette gave us a lot of local pointers which helped us make the most out of our short stay.

Juliette was a very attentive host. Upon arrival she gave us a map of the town and provided lots of suggestions for dinner and drinks and music. We had the front room with windows overlooking the street. The mattress and bedding were great and way above what we experienced across Ireland. The bathroom was small but it was no problem for us. Juliette made us a fantastic breakfast and sent us on our way with snacks for the day too!

Our waystation in Tralee was an excellent stop-over between our trip to Ring of Kerry and Galway. Amidst all of the B&B's, this one was the most modernized. The bed was excellent, the eggs with smoked salmon were delicious and the walk into town was short through a very nice park. I am not sure what there is to do in Tralee but Juliet's recommendation for dinner at the hotel pub was spot on.

The king sized bed was fabulous, the breakfast was wonderful! The scrambled eggs and salmon were new to us and I will be trying to copy her recipe for our Easter brunch! They gave us good directions to get around town and advice for our trip to follow. The finishing touch was a well marked map and cookies for the road.

From Barbara and Peter:
How lovely it was to stay in a genuine 150 year old Victorian House, which was quite easy to find and a short walk to the town centre. The room was very well decorated and the bed very comfortable. Juliet was a lovely hostess, who provided us with anything we asked for, even a cup of coffee when we came in from the cold, cold night. Breakfast was outstanding, the table set so beautifully, I thought we were at a luxury hotel. Thank you Juliet.
