“Wonderful place to visit”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

We were on a weekend to Kilkenny recently and dropped into this lovely bar/restaurant on High Street (near all the boutiques and tourist attractions). It was well worth it. It is extremely child friendly and offered to do a half portion from the adult menu for our son. The staff were attentive and the food delicious. There was a wide choice on the menu. It was great value considering that it is in the middle of the city where tourists frequent.
I would recommend this place for a snack, full meal or a drink at the bar.

“Friendly Pub”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Found this place on our first night, about the only place still serving food after 9 pm. Waitstaff were very friendly. Good selection of beer on tap and food selection was great. I recommend the curry chicken pot pie if it is still available, everyone at my table loved it. Wide variety of food though, can't go wrong here,

“Great for lunch!”
Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

Our first meal in Ireland, no disappointments. Seafood chowder amazing! The "joint of the day" was ribs- not what a North American would expect for ribs, but melt in your mouth delicious none the less. Met some friendly and helpful locals at the bar. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

“Great place for a martini”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We came here for post dinner drinks and loved it, the style reminded me of art deco Berlin but the place was far from pretentious. Friendly staff matches the warm and welcoming atmosphere, left me with a fine impression of Kilkenny, just go easy on the vodka martinis! driest in town! will be back one day.

“Excellant Lunch”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

We were most pleased to have eaten lunch in this very fine pub/restaurant---chosing it at random while visiting. The food was of high quality, excellently presented and very good value. The waitress was a true gem and the meal service was quite fast. The tables for dining were toward the back of the pub----past the bar. We noted that most of the diners were "locals". We will recommend this restaurant to everyone who might be taking a day trip to Kilkenny. They couldn't find a better place for an excellent lunch.
