Had dinner here on a Tuesday evening we had booked it. We then waited 20 minutes to make a drinks order.. When we finally ordered out dinner it took about 40 minutes for the starter to come out.I had the chicken tikka starter which consisted of a cold slice of chicken on gone off lettuce. We have eaten in many Indians and this was definitely the worst. The poor waitress also seemed very nervous and uncomfortable so we didn't complain at the time.

“nice food nice staff but...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014

the food here is nice, not great but not certainly not bad. the place looks nice and the staff were helpful but i'm being mean and taking points off purely because they asked me for a good review as i paid which i think goes against the point of tripadvisor.

“Excellent, please open a restaurant in Dublin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2014

We visited Kilkenny for 3 night mid week break. I looked up Tripadvisor to get some tips on a good restaurant in the town. This reviews on Tripadvisor made this restaurant stand out from the rest, the food was so good we ate here 2 nights out of a 3 night visit to the town. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who was very helpful when explaining the menu. The young guy who brought us our drinks was also very courteous. We tried different dishes on both nights we visited and I have to say we were not disappointed with anything. The young lady recommended a wine, she even gave us a taste to sample before we ordered it, her recommendation was spot on. The restaurant has a lovely décor and is spotless throughout. The prices were much the same you'd expect to pay anywhere else. Overall we loved this place and only wish they had a restaurant in Dublin.

“A gem!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014 via mobile

Arrived two hours early for dinner (hunger!) and was met with friendly service and excellent food. Really well set up restaurant with good early bird and also a wine and dine option - pity I was driving!!
Food was very tasty and literally left plate empty, very good value also.
Don't hesitate - would recommend and will be there again

“Excellent !”

It's the best Indian food in Kilkenny. When we come in, a very friendly waitress welcome us with big smile. When we got the menu, we couldn't decide what we want to eat, everything on the menu sounded delicious. Finally we decided to order Selection of starters, I had House Spice Chicken and my partner ordered Lamb Rogan Josh. Before starters arrived we got a papadoms with selection of sauces and drinks, everything was perfect, staff was very helpful and professional. Main course was absolutely fantastic! Big portions, nicely served. I've got my House Spice Chicken in iron dish on wooden board. All dishes was served in separate bowls, so we could easily share our main courses. My partners Rogan Josh was very delicious, I don't like a lamb meat, but in this dish was very good. At the end we ordered desserts, Lassi and selection of Sorbets. Lassi was perfect and sorbets refreshing after a spicy dinner :)
I recommend this restaurant, it's not expensive, we paid little bit over 60 euros, for 3 course meal and drinks for two hungry people :) . Again, definitely the best Indian restaurant in Kilkenny.
