Food was excellent and rooms were adequate. We were travelling with two teenagers and booked through a tour group. Patrick, the owner wasn't happy when I gave him the voucher. He explained that they were teenagers and not kids and he had to figure out how to get his money. That was a problem between him and the tour group, not us. We didn't need to know thus nor be involved.

Spent 1 night here at start of June 2014 and found the host welcoming and breakfast fine.
B&B was full on the Sunday night due to Cat Laughs Comedy Festival.
Beds comfortable, shared bathroom was clean although water pressure in shower not great despite it being a Triton power shower.
Bit of a tight squeeze for parking due to full house.
Gardens kept very well outside.
Near a main road out of city so a little traffic noise in room in morning but I'm sure far better than city centre.
Overall a pleasant 1 night stay and glad we chose this lodging.

We stopped here as our night on a tour of Ireland. Our gps didn,t want to find it as the directions given by Abbey Tours were not good. This was our first b&b experience here and it was pleasant.
Room was comfortable and our Irish Breakfast excellent. Patrick was welcoming and helpful

My wife and I travelled to Ireland to celebrate our 35th anniversary in May of 2013. We opted to stay in B&B's for our entire time in the Emerald Isle and enjoyed each of them very much.

Our stay at Church View was very nice. The rooms were bright, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was most enjoyable with a great selection. Parking our rental car in a private parking area also meant no worries regarding security.

We found Patrick and Monica to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful with ideas for activities & restaurants during our visit to Kilkenny. Thank you for pointing us in the right direction as we departed in the morning.

We would recommend Church View B&B for a great stay in teh Kilkenny area!

Overall, it was quiet, we had a good night sleep, and the food was fine. I very rarely gripe about places online and my husband and I have done a quite a bit of traveling in our day. That being said, there were a few things that I was not particularly please with regarding our stay. My husband and I booked this place several months in advance through a tour company that listed it as one of its options in Kilkenny for a trip with my parents. We were guaranteed two ensuite rooms and confirmed this booking a couple weeks out. However, upon arrival, we were only one with a full private bathroom. The other had a sink, but the shower and toilet were shared with several other rooms. Not a huge deal if that had been made clear, but we paid extra and went to some effort to make sure that both had full private bathrooms. Also, this place is quite a bit farther and more difficult to find than it appears from the website. Bring a good map.

Travelled with a few girls and we weren't very impressed, we couldn't wait to leave!!! The rooms were very small with no en suite so we were sharing the bathroom with everyone else and there was no TV in the rooms either! We paid for 2 rooms and as 2 of the girls couldn't make it the first night we only got the keys for 1 room even though we were still paying for 2!!! The owner was very arrogant and we felt like we had no privacy, we were no sooner in the door and he was out to us asking where we had been! He kept asking us were we having breakfast the following morning even though we all had already told him whether we were or not!! We also heard him having an argument with other guests when they came in as they were disgusted with him for snooping around their room while they were out, he was very unprofessional and was cursing at them! Also it was advertised as being a few minutes from Kilkenny city but it was actually a 10/15 minute drive from the city which made taxis expensive when we were staying for 3 nights! Check out was way too early at 10.30am, never heard of anywhere with such an early check out before! Definitely would not recommend this B&B to anyone!

My husband & I stayed 1 night at Church View and had a lovely stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Patrick was friendly, welcoming and helpful with ideas for activities & restaurants to visit during our stay. The location is several miles outside of Kilkenny at a quiet site with ample parking space.
