“A lot of History”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

You can climb up the tower to overlook the city, the ladders are steep but well worth the climb. The Cathedral itself is full of beautiful artifacts and a lot of history!

“St. Canices- unable to see”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

We approached this cathedral first, and observed the intriguing architecture of the building and the tower. Some of us attempted to climb the tower, but it was closed. When we approached the door to go inside it was also closed (with a sign that it would not open till 1 p.m.). We were disappointed because we wouldn't have time to return that late.

“Climb the tower”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

One of only 2 round towers that are accessible to the public. The climb is not for the faint of heart (it is ladders all the way up) but well worth it!

“Yep- worth the walk and the cost”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

like just about every other reviewer this is a good site to visit. The church is so full of history you just can't take it all in in a short visit. We spent an hour in the church and loved every minute of it. I only wish we had been there during a worship service. The round tower can be climbed (one of only 2 in the country). That's totally worth doing. After seeing the round tower in Glendalough and other places, to climb one was a great experience. The cost is low and worth it.
