Certificate of Excellence

I stayed here recently with friends and was really impressed. Our room was massive and was really comfortable and spotless. The staff were all really nice too.

The hotel's location is excellent, it's within walking distance of everything in Kilkenny.

We stayed midweek and I thought at €89 for two including breakfast was excellent value too.

So, all in all, I'd highly recommend Langtons.

I recently stayed in the Pembrook for two nights. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. We had a fabulous room, very well appointed, and certainly a steal for the price. The staff were friendly and very helpful. A real find folks!

We stayed for one night (mid-week, mid July). The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and had the usual facilities (for 4 star - except fridge).

The most striking thing about the hotel is the labyrinthine layout and the wonderful decor of each of the multitude of spaces. Many of them have a slightly Moroccan feel (and some is reminiscent of Cafe on Seine in Dublin). Really worth visiting and must be wonderful for a party (say anniversary or wedding party).

Kilkenny was very quiet on that Tuesday night, mid-July and after a quiet meal (see review of Paris Texas restaurant) we stopped for a couple of cocktails and (I played :-)) a game of pool in a bar that seemed like it should have been busy we made our way back to Langtons to find that (at midnight) things were starting to liven up there... Two red jacketed bouncers on the door at the bar end (opposite end on the street front to the Hotel entrance) welcomed us in to what was warming up as a late even "disco/club". Bit by bit the people made their way in and by 01:00 the place was jumping with revelers. Excellent night (which finished up at 02:00).

Seems like the place to stay in Kilkenny (centre at least)....

I had a great experience with langtons hotel. Food is brilliant and so is the service! A barman named Darren was great help to me and my family, he was a very polite young man and made us feel so welcome. I'd definitely recommend langtons as it is a very friendly place with great food!

stayed for one night in a huge family room (most hotels don't cater for families of 5) and the facilities were great - Highly recommend. Quirky feel to hotel with so many bards and rooms - also has a lovely theatre were we watched a world cup match. Good food also in bar.

A group of 14 attending a hen party stayed on sat 5th July. Every member of the party really enjoyed the stay. The cocktail making class was good fun, plenty of giggles had. Dinner was fantastic, with lots of choices on the menu. There was a slight delay with the main coarse but didn't bother in the slightest, however I noticed some other party's complaining. We stayed in the block of rooms behind the nightclub. They were beautiful and nice to have our own little area. After visiting a few of the bars down the town we returned to the nightclub which was quite busy but still managed to get our drinks without delay and have a dance. Very impressed with security leading to block of bedrooms. Would like to say a big thank you to Rochelle who I dealt with from initial booking. Was so helpful with all queries leading up to the day. Overall we had a fantastic time and hopefully will be returning for another break in the future.

It was a pleasure to meet Kevin in the Tearooms-courteous and efficient. Food was tasty and good value. And a most welcome cup of tea served in very attractive ware. Everyone I met on premises was helpful. Service with a smile. Well done
