Well worth the 4 Euro (per car) parking fee to get in. We loved walking around all the paths and finding new areas of the garden, the fir trees were gorgeous.

The house is in ruin unfortunately but it doesn't detract from the view nor the gardens.
A lovely peaceful place to be alone, or with someone special. There is also an area for children too.

It was great to have a cuppa in the tea room - although it was late when we got there, so only a small selection was available for purchase, mainly sweet things (no sandwiches - only crisps). No herbal teas either. Still there were toilets and great places just to kick back and relax.

Great spot for picnics and the kids to "run around". The flowers in the walled gardens were wonderful and it have a lovely cafe in an old glass house.

Large estate in rolling Kilkenny countryside. The owners must not have been so popular locally when it mattered - the large house was torched in 1922. There is a fine walled garden, a playground for children, a significant collection of trees in the arboretum, and much tranquility. All for €4 per car including as many bodies as your vehicle holds.

Great park with quite exotic plants and giant trees!!!
This park is located on top of a hill. The view down the valley is just marvelous- the river, an old bridge, the green fields! The trees up there, so called Monkey Puzzle Trees are high as houses. There´s a small round house made of glass with beautiful paintings. Going for a walk, having a picnics, just enjoying nature and the silence. Absolutely amazing!
