Didn't realise we have this beautiful Chapter house rooms on our doorstep. Just passing by and decided to drop in and take a look. What a lovely location and setting. Delicious tasty home cooked food, nice selection.
What's really good is the prices are reasonable and the staff are efficient and very friendly. Everywhere spotlessly clean and tidy. I will definitely be back and bring my family and friends.
" You should visit too, you won't be disappointed"

Regularly go for lunch, as it avoids the hustle and bustle of town centre. Having said that, my only small gripe is that inside can get extremely loud, especially when the 'ladies who lunch' are in! The staff are fabulous, very friendly and efficient and always a smile for everyone. Food is fab, wonderful quiche that tastes like it was freshly made and heated to perfection -no burnt crusts or hard edges here! Salads also great, a wide selection available every day.

The Room Chapter House Tea Rooms off James Street and beside Saint Mary's Cathedral in Kilkenny is an oasis of tranquility serving heart warming food in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. There is ample car-parking and has wheelchair access. Its a great place to meet up with family and friends or have a cup of coffee over a business meeting. The food is homemade and the staff are professional, friendly and customer focused. You should try their delicious lemon cake

This is a lovely little restaurant. Although there isn't a huge choice of menu, the food is delicious, plentiful and very nicely presented. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The setting is beautiful and the little courtyard charming. I think it says a lot when the locals eat here regularly! I would definitely recommend a visit to the chapter rooms!

This little cafe is worth seeking out for a spot of lunch on the grounds of st Mary's cathedral. It's really warm and inviting with lovely windows and arched doorway. There's seating outside also for when the sun is shining surrounded by the cathedral.

The menu has lots of choice and there's a specials board too - great for me, I'm a veggie but also for the carnivore hubby. I had the nut loaf and he had seafood chowder and a beef lasagne. Really tasty and looked great. Yummy desserts too. Chocolate biscuit cake and real homemade apple tart.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Reasonable prices for great food.
Would def go back for lunch or just a coffee. Lovely spot to meet for a chat with friends.
No complaints here, nom nom nom.
