I have spent 2 days in a row at this delightful tea rooms. The food is amazing. A wonderul variety of exotic teas served in delicate China cups accompanied by delicious cakes and a fabulous selection of chocolates. The decor is amazing! There's beautiful antique paintings on the wall. The staff are lovely, warm, inviting and extremely friendly! Delightful place well worth a visit! First class service!

“Spoil yourselves on a Saturday afternoon.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

Out for lunch on a weekend break for our 25th wedding anniversary, we uncovered this little gem of a restaurant at the north end of Kilkenny city. The restaurant was still bustling with the remains of the lunch rush. It is nicely decorated in Victorian Tea room meets 21st century - clean corners and fresh lines but the essence of a bygone era. We noticed the "Afternoon Tea" offering which sounded like a treat for the occasion - what a treat it turned out to be. We were moved to a secluded table laid out in Victorian finery in a corner of the rooms and for the next two comfortable hours were made feel pampered by one of the most attentive and jolly waiters I have met. It turns out our waiter, Ed, also bakes the fineries we were served. Afternoon tea is served on a three tier platter with exceptionally tasty finger sandwiches on the bottom, scones with jam and cream in the middle tier and a fine range of dainties on top. All served with your choice from a wide range of teas. I could not recommend a better way to happily pass an afternoon. One piece of advice - arrive hungry, there's a lot to eat, and you won't want to leave anything behind!

“Tea riffic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014

This little tea rooms is well worth a visit. The decor is shabby chic meets Victorian tea parlour. Copious amounts of tea arrived in huge tea pots along with some of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The staff are friendly and fun, making you feel so welcome that you could easily stay all afternoon.
