“Great Hotel - Will definitely be back”
Reviewed 10 September 2011

Our stay was great from start to finish. We got a great rate on our room which we had plenty of space in. Staff were very freindly and went out of their way to accomodate us. Food was lovely in the restaraunt and the bar had a really good atmophere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Killkenny. It is right in the middle of the city and close to everything. No cabs needed when heading out. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitley be coming back here.

Just spent week in Ireland , staying in different hotels but by far the best and most enjoyable was the Kilford Hotel in Kilkenny City. It is right in city centre of Kilkenny and from the start of our stay we received the Irish Cead Mile Failte from all staff . Their Super Bar O'Faolains is designed as a Church Wow what a find just superb and great craic Food excellent, rooms clean and spacious, cant wait to tell my friends and family when I get back home and recommend this very friendly hotel. Thanks to all, Will be back

This was suppose to be a night away. Far from it. Payment first on check on???
Quite simply, Avoid. Don't be fooled by special deals or food at this liar of a place. This food is of pure and simple rubbish, as is the rooms, etc. We left early, at around 0730 as we couldn't bare it anymore. The noise and drunks can be heard.
There was no one in reception so we left the key in the restaurant and by the look of the breakfast we choose to eat elsewhere.
This place left us tired and disappointed and defeated the object of going away to relax.
A disgrace to the Irish hotel industry. Could not wait to leave.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the start of August. We were attending a wedding in Langtons across the road. The Hotel is basic but was perfect for us as we had no kids.Seems to be a lively spot!Breakfast was fine, didnt eat at the hotel.Kilkenny is a buzzing city, plenty to do.Great spot for a stag/hens/party!

Came across this lovely hotel on our travels through ireland and I just want to say a big thank you to the Kilford staff for ensuring our stay at the Kilford was nothing short of excellent! I really can't fault the hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. I was there on a Saturday night and from the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who explained to us in detail the many parts of the hotel which include, their late bar, residents bar, nightclub, karaoke night and even a paddy powers next door! What I thought was brillant too was their free parking, there's nothing worse then having to pay a fortune for that and they had no problem with us leaving our car there the next day after we checked out while we took in the sights of Kilkenny. The hotels location is also great, right in the city centre. All I can say is this hotel is an excellent place to stay with your friends for a great night out, we never had to leave the hotel it was all under one roof! Thanks again!

Room Tip: They have rooms for four, so if you're a group ask for a family room
