“Great hotel for a city break”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

My husband and I had a lovely overnight stay here recently. The hotel is modern and staff are welcoming and helpful. There is a nice bar area which had a good atmosphere at night. Staff booked us into the Indian restaurant next door which had great food at excellent value. Parking is definitely a bonus and the lovely city of Kilkenny is on your doorstep.
I would recommend this hotel for a city break. We stayed mid-week so it was nice and quiet for a couple, weekends might be lively! Great breakfast too!

This hotel was a great value in Kilkenny and Kilkenny is a great town to visit. Within walking distance to some great places. It's not a traditional Irish Inn, but a nice change up if you're looking for a more modern. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and neat. The parking lot was nice to have and made things easier for brining up luggage.

The value was just ok. We paid in advance to get a lower rate and that was about the most I would want to pay for the hotel.

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely two-day break at the Pembroke Hotel. As everyone else has said - it is a fantastic hotel to stay in. Very clean and bright. Food excellent and staff very helpful. Hotel is very convenient for sightseeing in Kilkenny. The on-site car park is an added bonus. Thank you to everybody who made our anniversary so enjoyable.

If you're looking for a good place to stay this is it. The hotel is fresh and the rooms are very nice. The Irish breakfast included is worth the money for sure. Parking is limited so get there as close to check in as possible so you can have a spot.

My friend and I were pleased the hotel had an available room after having difficulty the previous night. The beautiful medieval town is a popular destination, especially on weekends. The rooms have a modern, artistic presentation. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant on the main level offers delicious food in a modern, comfortable setting.

Stayed here for a two night break with a friend. Impressive from check in and did not fail to deliver throughout our stay. Rooms were large an spotlessly clean with comfy bed. Extensive choice for breakfast. Fantastic customer service especially from the manager Paul who was our saviour and kindly took us to the train station when our taxi was delayed. All in all a great hotel and we will definitely return, thanks to all.

The hotel is within easy walking distance from the Castle, City center , Black Abbey and the Round Tower. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions and advise. The room was clean with a large bathroom. We stayed mid-week and the hotel was quiet. The hotel is across the street from Zuni's restaurant, a great place to eat!!

Room Tip: The car park is a bit small. But there is another close by. The hotel can be easily missed. Look for...
