“mom and me on the road”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2010

My mom and I traveled around Ireland for two weeks. We planned our trip to enjoy the sights while relaxing at B & B's. Pinecrest was an exceptional choice for our two night stay. The location was perfect and residential.
We had great access to parking and easy driving distance to the heart of Kilkenny.
Helen welcomed us with tea and lots of info about what to see and do.
I loved the room, sitting area and friendly atmosphere.
Thanks so much for adding to our trip!!

Stayed here two nights in June. Wonderful location, close to town. Helen is the perfect hostess, offering us tea and coffee upon arrival and lots of useful information on things to do in Kilkenny. Breakfasts were great and made to order in the airy, sunny breakfast room. Room was bright and cheery. This was a great introduction to our BnB experience in Ireland. We would wholeheartedly reecommend tPinecrest BnB to anyone!

We stayed here for just one night on a weekend trip to kilkenny. I have to say I was really impressed. The b and b is lovely- bright and decorated simply. Our room was big with a big double bed and the en suite had a great shower. Breakfast was also amazing and Helen, the host was very accommodating. Regarding location, it is situated in a quiet area which is a 5 minute walk from centre of town.Would stay here any day over a hotel especialluy considering how reasonable it was- even compared to some of the other b and b's in the town.

We just stayed for one night. The room was a reasonable size, clean and everything worked. It is a 5 minute walk from town, but it is off the main road and quiet. There was a good choice for breakfast and the owners were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge.

We stayed at Pinecrest B&B for one night. It's a bit out of town, but the property is beautiful and we walked everywhere in Kilkenny without problem. Liam and Helen are the cutest, friendliest hosts and made us feel very welcome. We wish we had stayed longer.

We arrived at Pinecrest around 5pm and were greeted by one of the owners, Liam. He was extremely friendly and immediately offered us coffee or tea. He got his wife, Helen and she showed us to the room. We had a lovely room on the first floor. It was a 2 room suite with one room with a king size bed and the other room with bunk beds for our children. Both rooms shared a bath. The children's room was small and didn't have a TV, but it was perfect for us. Helen & Liam gave us directions into the town of Kilkenny and recommendations for dinner. It was a 10 minute walk into town. The B&B is located close to a park by the river. We enjoyed a walk there after dinner and got to see some children getting kayak lessons and learning how to navigate a small waterfall. We were served a lovely breakfast the next morning.
