Museum is very well documented, friendly and helpful staff, worth the visit. Great to be able to actually visit a replica of one of the flying boats.

What a great museum! Well laid out, excellent wheelchair access, with an exhibit which comes as a real surprise!
This really does put Foynes on the map once more.
And once you've had an enjoyable few hours in the museum, enjoy Death by Chocolate in the cafe, which is truly to die for!

All-in-all, a fab few hours out and a marvellous tribute to a bygone age - I'd highly recommend this attraction.

Did not know much about Flying Boats or Sea Planes. I thought the museum was worth the visit. Our guide was excellent. There was a nice procession between exhibits. All sorts of interesting information of how people traveled. At the end, they gave a lesson on how to make Irish Coffee. I also recommend getting an Irish Coffee while there.

If you love Aviation History you must see this Landmark .
The original Terminal for inbound Transatlantic flights restored to its original glory including a model of the Flying boat. The PAA Clipper .
Lots of artifacts.
Well conducted tour.
Since this was the birthplace of "The Irish Coffee" a demonstration and taste is included.

small but very diverse and interesting museum. The flying boat information is the main attraction but also an nice little maritime museum in the observatory upstairs. The story of Irish coffee also told here - an added bonus.
Things of interest for kids as well as adults - an entire room just for kids with flight simulators that will keep them busy for as long as you need for the rest of the museum.
The mock up flying boat is the true star.
People were very friendly.

A very worthwhile small town museum.
