“Meh. Alright, wouldn't go back.”
Reviewed 19 August 2013 via mobile

My husband and I came here to watch a hurling match and eat some food. The food was way overpriced and not so tastey. We were disappointed that we had spent so much when we could walk down the street for better food at a much better price. It's a good place to go for TVs and beer. Not so much for food.

“Smyths”
Reviewed 5 June 2013

Carvery lunch is good value have ate here on numerous occasions, could be in and out within 15mins if needed, in terms of a night out, great space, good atmosphere and good crowd (most of the time), always have a decent band playing, drink promotions an added plus, the nightclub 'Icon' again great space has an upstairs and down stairs, drink expensive with drink promotions not as kind as in the bar, no lemonade mixers well there is but for €2.25 a bottle, entry fee can be a bit steep, on ladies night, ladies are free while males have to pay from €6 to €8 depending on what night of the week and how busy town is, with females free a fiver would surely be sufficient for males, the biggest downfall with Smyths is the door staff can be very ignorant, I was refused entry one night when I was driving and the people with were me allowed in after drink, when tried to explain my story was just brushed aside and told 'not tonight' have heard similar stories to mine but aside from the ignorance of the door staff this is a good spot but a night could be ruined by a grumpy looking lad that has power for a couple of hours a night!!!
