“Hen's galore but good food”
Reviewed 16 February 2014

Ate at the George on a night when there were two large hen parties, a very large group of americans and a birthday party all going on while showing the Munster Rugby match. Just dropped in for a quick bite and had a really nice meal and few drinks while watching the match. Great service and food

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on Trip Advisor. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us on your recent visit to Limerick.

We are very used to catering to every person needs as a city centre hotel which attracts people who are in limerick enjoying themselves on Saturday night. We also have adult guests as well as a party crowd. That’s what make for a great atmosphere in our hotel. We do proactively try to manage our guests so that they all get the experience they expect.

I hope that due to your positive experience we will be able to welcome you back to The George Boutique Hotel in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Altaf Khan

“Excellent work night Out”
Reviewed 4 February 2014

We recently booked the George Hotel for a well-deserved work night out. Having completed a year end stocktake, we needed to unwind to some good food, wine & music. We were not to be disappointed. Tables were reserved for our arrival. As we were a group of 12, we opted for a buffet style meal. We were amazed with the care and effort that the staff went, to serve us. I have been served buffet style before and enjoyed it, but this was so far beyond that. From the crisp spring rolls, the tastiest dips I have ever had, the most beautiful fresh sandwiches I have tasted and a myriad of choice in between. A good part of our conversation was centred on just how impressive the food was. The words "you have to try this" was echoed many times. The staff were wonderful and Jacinta made us feel very welcome while tending to all our needs. The atmosphere was lively and we all danced to the excellent music of a wonderful local one man band act called John Frawley. We had not planned a late night but we had so much fun dancing and enjoying ourselves we stayed till bar close. A fantastic night and one we certainly want to repeat.

“New years eve dinner at the george boutique hotel”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

We booked an early bird dinner for 4 at the GBH. 3 adults, 1 child. As first to arrive I ordered 3 cocktails at the bar, 9e each, but feck it, it was NY eve.they made up an alco free for the child and didn't charge, nice touch. Starters were delicious for all 4 diners, the caesar salad is just to die for. We had the burger, the chicken dish and a pizza. The pizza had to be sent back as it was rock hard and tasteless. the waitress came and offered a free drink for the inconvenience so we chose a 7up for the child. Return of the new pizza .... exactly the same ... like a frozen Kellogs corn flakes box ...if you ever ate one you would know what I mean! The desserts were delicious, the Eton Mess and cheesecake was just fab. The apple crumble was very dry and way too much crumble. However, the service was excellent. the Maitre D' did take pizza off the menu that evening as obviously there was a problem with other diners. And at the end of the night we gave feedback AFTER paying the bill to the Maitre D. He took 20euro off the bill giving us a little more euro to spend on a cocktail before we went home. Great deal for early bird for 2,add a bottle of wine and get the wine for 10euro. The pizza was awful and you would buy better in Aldi but their customer service was excellent and they did listen to their customers.

“Great food great service”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

A few friends and I went to this restaurant over the christmas period. We went for the 3 course set menu for 2 for 50 euro . The food was amazing and the service was great. The value would have been great if it was only the food but there was a bottle of wine included! Our waitress was very friendly and got us a great seat as soon as we arrived. She spoked to us for a while and recommended the chef special which was delicious. Would defiantly come back again.
