So there is a vegetarian option on the menu and actually a vegetarian part of the menu. Too good to be true? Yup. Upon further questioning I found that the curries all contain fish sauce or oyster sauce. You are limited to stir fry choices. That means sweet and sour and a stir fried veggie plate in "our special sauce".
Let me start with the sweet and sour. If you go to Eurozone (dollar store) and buy a sweet and sour sauce and water it down you have the secret formula. Add veggies and charge 7.50 Euros and you now are a Thai Gourmet.
But wait...there's more...you can also break the code for the "special sauce" of Thai Gourmet. You simply need to take old dishwater, add salt and, viola...you are again a Thai Gourmet.
The ONLY saving grace of this disgrace of a meal was that the veggies didn't come out of a can or freezer bag. I don't know why I keep trying to find good Thai food in Europe. It's becoming as elusive at the mission burrito on the eastern side of the Atlantic. But alas, like Ponce de Leon I keep trying to find the impossible.
So go for Lebanese or Veggie Burgers instead. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
