“Overnight stay”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

My husband and I needed an overnight stay before a family wedding in Adare, so booked into the Travelodge in Limerick. We found the hotel just off the main Limerick to Galway motorway and was delighted with the easy access, free parking and friendly service we received. The room was spotless and large, with amble room for luggage, wedding present etc. A restaurant attached to the Travelodge provided us with good coffee and a lovely breakfast.
If you want a place to put your head down for a night, then check out the Travelodge. We have found that you can't beat therm.

Always a great welcome and a swift, comfortable and easy settling in after a long journey. My wife has a medical condition that requires a stress free environment and the Ennis Road Travelodge provides this very well!

Once the distinctly unhelpful online booking system and help line was surmounted (at seventy euro per room because we booked only a day ahead) arrival at hotel was mix-up after mix-up (two twin rooms became a double and a single; mistake in asking for payment when already charged).

Then we got the quiet rooms we requested. Well, for night #1 anyway.

Rockin' Joes was rapidly given a miss because of the greasy smog... we ate at the Greenhills up the road. The Railway Hotel in town is excellent as a friendly and authentic Limerick experience, as is the Chinese restaurant on the left into town...the Shamrock.
Night #2 was entertaining for the party-goers next-door but tiring for us hoping to get some sleep. The receptionist - a different and more sympathetic lady this time - apologised for the noise, as we checked out, full of a firm resolve to return no more.

Unfortunately not good enough Mr Patterson... acceptable at 40 Euros but not at 70!! Good luck with the new broom....

Room Tip: Speak nicely to reception,,,usually but not always effective to get rooms away from main road and Jo...

We stayed at this hotel 1 night and was very glad we didn't book it for more. First off the information we had on it said that internet was available in the public part of the hotel but came with a charge for the rooms. The guy at the desk that night told us that is was not free anywhere and would cost 5 euro. The friend we were with asked if we could all use the passsword that he gave us and we were told yes. Only one of us was allowed to get on. The next day when talking to the lady at the desk she did tell us internet was free in public areas and that the 5 euro is for each computer. The rooms were very drab and the reading light did not work. The location was not good for walking. I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the Travelodge in Limerick for one night as we were visiting our son who study in limerick University . I have stayed in a quite a few budget hotels and usually they are cheap but cheerful. The Travelodge was cheap but certainly not cheerful. First of all we had to wait for 10 minutes at the reception before someone looked after...

Room Tip: good value for money

Large, clean, comfortable room. This Travelodge operates a no-noise policy which should ensure a quite night. It is efficient, no frills, no nonsense - just what one would expect from Travelodge. It is convenient and easy to find when travelling by car. There is a large Tesco on the opposite side of the Coonagh roundabout. Plenty of free parking.

Room Tip: First floor rooms require walking down corridors and climbing stairs. Ground floor rooms are easier...
