“Great help in our time of need!”
Reviewed 3 June 2011

We were on a bus tour and the Radisson was to be a one night stay so we could visit Bunratty Castle and enjoy their evening dinner entertainment. My husband became very ill that night and was taken to the regional hospital and remained for 2 days. I cannot express enough my gratitude and for the extraordinary way they tried to make me feel at home and the staff so accomadating to any need I had while I went back and forth to the hospital and hotel. I felt like everyone at the reception desk knew my name whether it was day or middle of the night and tried to help me for whatever need I had while there. Even my husband got the grand welcome when he finally was discharged from the hospital and came back to the hotel. Your hotel was the best on our whole trip up to that point, clean, quiet, friendly and a fabulous full breakfast!! Please extend our thanks to all the staff and management that helped us during a very difficult time.
We hope to return some day to Ireland and finish our trip where we left off and we will not hesitate to book at this hotel.

While the room was nice, the restaurant service was the worst ever experienced in a Radisson hotel. A simple lunch took fourty five minutes to arrive, the couple beside us walked out. The hotel was relatively busy, yet no more so than any food venue on a saturday, but the restaurant service seemed totally overwhelmed. We tried to go to dinner at eight to be told the restaurant was booked out till half nine. We could see clearly that the restaurant was half empty ! Twenty minutes, still empty ! Checked out room service, however the two vegetarian options were chicken liver parfait and seafood and veg chowder ! This is not in any way vegetarian !! Down to the restaurant again where there of course there was a table in a mostly empty room. We were informed there was one veg dish , a curry and nothing else could be done, not even some pasta and tomato sauce even though this was on the menu with a chicken dish. Had a starter and left while the couple beside us were wondering if the kitchen had forgotten their order they were waiting so long. Have stayed in a number of Radissions in the last year, but after this, going to try a different hotel. No value or service for money.

We have now stayed a number of times in this hotel, both before early morning flights out of Shannon and also when visiting Limerick. If you have a car then it's very short and easy drive to Shannon airport - around 5minutes. The new Shannon tunnel means that you can bypass Limerick to get to the Radisson from Cork or Dublin. The hotel is just off the main road. The family rooms are very good for kids and the kids also liked the pool. Breakfast was included in our booking and the breakfast buffet is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Good, free WiFi throughout the hote. Definitely one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in in the Limerick/Shannon area.

Thank you for your review. I am delighted that you found our hotel very good for Families. This is an area we are putting a lot of focus on at present - we will be launching new kids menus in the coming weeks and are planning on a Summer Camp for the last two weeks in July, 1st two weeks in August, so perhaps you will consider revisiting us then.

I book the Radission for our wedding. We couldn't of got a nicer hotel. The staff were so helpful. The managment couldn't do enough for us. The food was perfect. Anything we ask they try to help us with. Everyone that was at the wedding told us the next day how lovely the hotel staff was and how nice the hotel was. Everyone enjoy themselves. If we had try to plan the perfect day we wouldn't of got it right but the hotel made sure it was perfect. I would like to thank Mark and our waiter Michael and all the staff and Managment at the hotel for the perfect time.

Room Tip: Any room is perfect.

We have just returned from our 5th or 6th visit to this hotel and it won't be our last. We absolutely love this place. The staff are absolutely super and so friendly. Nothing is ever a problem for them.

This was our first time bringing the children with us as we normally use it as our bolthole, for my husband and I when their grandparents offer up a weekend of babysitting. Although I do think this hotel is aimed more for adults rather than families with children we all had a lovely time.

The breakfast buffet is super. Everything you could ask for and complimentary newspapers for residents to take. We ate in the restaurant one night too and the food was super. Not standard hotel fare, but really good high quality well presented food. Their early bird offers great value at 17.95 for two courses.

The absolute top marks however have to go to the staff, they are just super and really friendly, nothing is a problem.

We will be returning again soon probably just the two of us, and as always will look forward to it.

Thanks again.
