After seeing a brochure, we decided to visit as we had read and enjoyed "Angelas Ashes". Very interesting museum as long as familiar with Frank McCourt's story. It's not very large and so can be seen in about 1/2 hour - but had many interesting items.

Good insight into the life of Frank, with many photographs to support. Rooms are reconstructed to show the living conditions and education he experienced

Not only is the museum absolutely wonderful and really brings alive the pages in the book, but our young tour guide was very informative and had such a terrific personality. A definite stop for any Frank McCourt fan!

Set in the school Frank McCourt went to, with the old desks and lots of photos of classmates, this museum really pulls you into the life he wrote about. Lots of nice anecdotal details and although small is worth a trip. Good value for money at just 3 euro.

I have read all three of Frank McCourt's books and was so excited when I found the museum that was dedicated in his honor right in the heart of Limerick City! It was amazing to see the love and passion that went into creating this touching museum. From the re-creation of the bedroom and the kitchen that Frank shared with his family, it was easy to be transported back in time when life in Limerick was much more difficult. I especially loved the classroom and thought that it held many priceless treasures from Frank's life. A must see while in Limerick!!
