Breakfast had a lovely choice and selection, everyone were welcoming and went out of their way to help with any queries. I had a lovely view of the river from my room. Wifi was good and the glass elevator, a nice touch.

Among the most friendly and helpful staff we have met in a busy hotel.

There was at least one hen-party judging by what we saw checking in! But we heard nothing after retiring so the management of rooms was a strong point.
Room spacious and a great view. The room was good value and the breakfast was great. The bar food was nice but we felt it was not good value.

stayed 2 nights at the strand hotel in may, when we arrived at the hotel the carpark was closed, reception staff said they didnt know how to open it, as we stood outside the hotel, the gardener of the hotel kieran asked us wer we ok, we said we had a problem getting in to the carpark, kieran went into the hotel, was working at the computer, opened the carpark, brought us down to and guided us to a space beside the front door, he then brought up our bags, he raved about the hotels river restaurant, and head chef tom flavin, he was right, the food was amazing, thank you kieran for your outstanding help, we will be back,

Stayed here just for one night ( wish I stayed longer )with my girlfriend due to an event in limerick. Was over the moon to see a magnificent view of the river and the size of the room. The room was huge with a nice size bed ,couches, a tv, a lovely bathroom and a balcony. Not only was the room and hotel was outstanding but so was the staff. very helpful and smiley and I was greeted with a warm welcome. I hope to come back here again.
Thanks a million

I had ordered a larger room with an inside balcony. The room AND the bed was absolutely great! Nice view at the river and tidy and a large leather sofa group in the room made the comfort even better. I would recommend one of the Hotels suites, as i also saw the single rooms, and they were very small. I even had one of my meetings at the large room. The Service was also good at the Hotel, but unfortunately there was a large crowd of Young graduates who had a party downstairs, and the noise from this was a bit irritating... But of cause it is ALWAYS nice to see Young people having fun... And i guess the Irish don't have these parties that often... All - in All... A VERY PLEASANT STAY! I CAN EASILY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR OTHERS!... I´LL BE BACK ;)

Room Tip: Do as i did... Order a Suite...:)

Very nice hotel clean, good service. Food was good, get fresh scones in morning or afternoon tea. Large patio with view of River Shannon and city river front. Good Bar and lounge area, very modern with friendly staff.

I stayed at the Limerick Strand in May 2014 for 3 nights with my husband, and I was so impressed with every aspect of the hotel, especially the attitude of the staff. I would like to congratulate the entire team.

It's strange that even a few weeks later I remember the name of the Duty Manager (Gary) and our waiter (Jamie), but it's probably just because the friendliness was exceptional and their obvious desire to ensure we had a good stay was remarkable. Maybe it's like that everywhere in Limerick, but it is so unusual to be treated so nicely when you travel.

We had breakfast, dinner and brunch in the hotel and the food was excellent.

There was an issue with a fire door that kept slamming outside our room on the day we arrived. Gary tried to fix the problem quickly, but when he wasn't able to get hold of a joiner, he moved us to another room. But it was the friendly way that he dealt with us that was so much appreciated.

We also had a really big group for brunch on the Sunday morning, and again, the staff was really welcoming, and what I'm really grateful for is that we were able to just linger. Nobody rushed us out, and there was no fuss made of trying to pay the bill for about thirty people, nearly all wanting to pay separately.

The hotel staff really made our visit to Limerick so pleasant.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the business rooms. They host weddings, so if you're bothered by noise, ask...
