“Wonderful hotel in great location”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We love this hotel, it was in a convenient location, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. It also had a great view overlooking the river. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful.m

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the river side for the best view.

Our room was at the end of the hallway. I always ask for a quiet room away from the elevator and ice machine. This room was both and very large - room for two love seats and a coffee table and a king bed. The hotel is situated over the bridge from the "town" which means it's pretty quiet at night. A 5 minute stroll and you're in the thick of things. Parking was easy, in an underground structure, but the hotel charges $6 per night. Large restaurant and bar available in the hotel if you don't feel like venturing out. Gym was good for a hotel - outside memberships help support that. There is also a nice jacuzzi/pool situation. Enjoy it if you have the time. The A/C in our room did not work during our visit, but the hotel provided a fan.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the end of the hall (I think ours was 122)

I stayed at the Limerick Strand on the last night of our honeymoon having traveled from Donegal to Limerick along the coast over a week. It was without doubt the best night, the staff were so professional and friendly. We had mentioned at the time of booking online that it was our honeymoon and when we arrived we were upgraded to a fabulous suite. it was the only hotel throughout our week long honeymoon in Ireland that upgraded us and made the extra effort for us. We had lunch in the bar which was very tasty and reasonable. The next morning the staff were prompt with checkout and asked how our stay was and if everything had been ok. I will definitely be back here again, i loved the hotel, the location, the facilities and the staff. Thanks for a lovely end to our honeymoon!!

We recently had a family weekend outing in Limerick and stayed at the LSH-14 in total. The rooms were spacious and I was especially grateful that there was a thermostat. This is a rare thing to see in hotels in Ireland. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. The waitstaff in the bar and restaurant were great. It was also a short distance into city center. The meals were top notch!! We really enjoyed our stay and will very likely come back again!!

We arrived at this hotel as part of our four day land tour in Ireland.

Nice building, but, our first impression when we walked in the hallway on the second floor (actually, third floor for us) was chaos & confusion. They were working doing renos in some rooms & there were rolls of carpet everywhere, a real hazard to walk through to our room.

However, when we came out of the room a couple of hours later, it was a totally different place. It had been cleaned up in no time & all the reno supplies had disappeared.

We found out in Ireland they use a different kind of electric plugs & the only one in our room “American style” was not working, with the help of a maid we got an electrician who changed the fuse that had burnt out. Problem solved.

Very nice fellow.

They offered plenty of toiletries in the bathroom, however, no hair dryer. I couldn’t do my hair properly.

Breakfast was included, and also WI FI at no extra cost. The WI FI worked very well all over Ireland and it was free, no password required.

Loved the location of this hotel as it is on the edge of the city with lovely walks along the Shannon and a 3 minute walk into the city centre. It is also very modern and clean. Our room was lovely and quietThe breakfast is delicious too. I found the bar quite impersonal and the bar food a little average. The service in the bar was a little hit and miss too. The pool was really good, very clean and not too many people using it. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Limerick CIty
