This pains me to have to write this review as i normally try and find the positive in each experience. However I am finding it very difficult to find anything nice to compliment about this restaurant. We thought the previous owners had changed the name and the style of the food and we had noticed that an offer was on living social a few weeks earlier.

We were first sad to discover that the previous owner were now gone. We arrived just after 5pm for the early bird menu and the place was extremely quiet. The decor hadnt been improved or modified since the previous owners. The menu was simple and the service was lovely. However the quality of the food was a throw back from the 1970's. The food quality was totally dire and personally i could have bought a better pre-packed salad in Dunnes Stores.

On arrival, one of the kitchen staff was already sitting in the smoking area and within the hour he paid another 2 visits to this area as well as another kitchen member, this was a bit of a put off.

I would be very surprised if this restaurant was still thriving in 3 months.

It was Easter Sunday and the restaurant we had booked had let us down by not opening !. Luckily we found Raviola Verde and they were able to accommodate us. We were soon perusing the menu whilst munching on some complimentary garlic bread. There was 4 of us and we shared a couple of starters including a overly generous portion of anti pasti meats from their Italian butcher. Our main courses of Carbonara, Raviola Verde, Spaghetti with tiger prawns and tomatoes and Peperoncina Tagliolini were freshly cooked, tasty and enjoyed by all. We rounded off by sharing a couple of desserts. The tiramasu was served in a sundae style glass and was more than enough for two people. The hit of the evening however was the calzone filled with marscapone and nutella after which my twelve year old declared that this meal was the best he ever had ! We had two half carafes of their house white, a glass of red and some soft drinks and were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable our bill was for such a great meal. Will definitely drop in next time we're in Limerick

My wife and I went here last Friday for an early bird menu. An Italian friend of mine had recommended here to me and so I knew it had to be good and we were not disappointed.
The last time we had Italian food this good was on holidays in Lake Garda.
Lovely venue and surroundings unless you want natural light as its in a basement but the brickwork and old style windows makes you forget that.
Service is top class you are made feel welcome, not rushed and staff are friendly.
We had a pizza and a pasta dish plus glass of house wine each and for under 20euro too good to be true well its not and the food was really good. Plus some fresh bread and oils brought to your table as well.
German beer available on draught.
Only slight fault I would have is if you wanted a starter your choice is limited.
But that wont stop us from returning

Visited new premises in Limerick hoping to find a more extensive menu than that in the Shannon branch but it was not to be. Internal decor is mainly redbrick, very warm & cosy, maybe due to being in a basement area. The waiter was very friendly but clearly not a professional. We ordered a pizza & Carbonara. The pizza was so mushy in the middle a spoon was needed & the carbonara was extremely salty. There were only 4 of us in the restaurant but they managed to get the starters wrong. Wine was good but more expensive than in one of their competitors. Overall disappointed.
