This city centre hotel remains Limericks best. We stay there regularly on business and leisure. Staff and service are second to none. Front desk and concierge staff can not do enough for guests. Dining room and restaurant staff are likewise. Food in first floor dining lounger is excellent as is that in the 70s styled Hamptons restaurant. Superb spa and therapies. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My wife and I stayed on Saturday 21st April as part of The College of Hotel Management, Shannon, (year of 1974) reunion . I have been in senior management and a board member of Hotels in the UK for over 30 years and this hotel exceeded my expectations. All staff without exception were naturally friendly, efficient and interested from check in to check out. The bedroom that we were allocated was excellent as was the standard of housekeeping. We dined as a party in a private room where we experienced excellent food and great service. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Congratulations and a big thank you to all the management and staff of this hotel and I am sure it was not too easy to cater for 20 hotel managers. We plan our 40th year anniversary of leaving the college in 2014 and will use The Savoy again.

Room Tip: Front facing rooms on the 7th floor are excellent

Our rooms were very nice, but the entire hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. This used to be a Marriott property (the bathrobes and phone still have the Marriott logo), but no longer. The pool and spa were undergoing renovation, but we were there off-season (should be done by summer). Very friendly and helpful front desk staff, although the in-hotel restaurant waitstaff was very slow and inattentive. The restaurant next door (dinner) was excellent and provided good service. The rooms need updating, but are large by European standards.

Stayed in this hotel for a girls weekend. It was my second time to stay there, and it is still as good as ever! The bedrooms are large and spacious, with wonderful beds and the most comfortable pillows. Molton and Browne toiletries is a nice little touch. Breakfast was fantastic on both mornings, and we had a very nice meal in the attached Hamptons restaurant. All the staff are so professional and pleasant, from the reception to the breakfast staff. Location is really central, and would recommend this hotel to anybody.

We have just stayed here Easter weekend. I really couldn't complain about anything with regards to The Savoy, Limerick. The location was perfect for shopping and for bars and restaurants. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, without hesitation they allocated us another room rather than keep us waiting. Breakfast and lunch were delicious and served by very friendly and efficient staff in a nice relaxing restaurant. We had dinner in Hampton's on one evening, just next door to the main hotel; the food was superb, the service excellent and the staff very pleasant!
