“Staff second to none!”

Attended a family function here last weekend. Lovely hotel, food wonderful, staff and service attentive, courteous, second to none. Parking situation ( not on-site,but at multi-storey across the street) lets it down A LOT, would expect MUCH better of a 5 star hotel. For that reason, and that alone, could not give it top marks. Otherwise faultless.

I have stayed in this hotel on a few different occasions and I have always been delighted with all aspects of the stay. The staff are very friendly and always attentive.
The bar downstairs is great and has lovely decor. It does some fantastic cocktails which are at a reasonable price.
The location could not be better, easily accessible when driving into the city and with convenient parking, I have used their valet parking service too which is a real time saver. The main streets of Limerick are just a five minute stroll away.
The rooms are very nice and the bed is amazingly comfortable, one of the most comfortable I have had the pleasure of sleeping on.
The food is very nice, the breakfast is top notch, The usual fare of cereals and fresh food and your choice of hot food. But the food is noticeably fresh and the cheeses, yogurts and breads are locally produced, often artisan foods.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors to Limerick.

Dont often need to stay in Limerick but on the recommendations found on Tripadvisor thought I would give the Savoy a try. Easy to find, good central location, City Centre parking quite handy...and subsidised. As it was a Sunday night I got a great deal on a suite, views not great but nice to have a balcony and we could see the river. The checkin staff were very friendly and helpful and our deal included a dinner. The restaurant staff were also great and were happy to give us a full allowance against the menu if we didnt want to chose from the special menu. All in all a good spot and I can certainly recommend it.

Stayed here for one night on a Saturday night in May and have since been meaning to write this review. Booked it last minute Friday night for a suite.
We arrived early enough in the day and parked in the car park across the road. This can sometimes be a nightmare in city hotels but it was easy to find and is literally across the road from the hotel.
Receptionist on check in was quite unfriendly and when we requested a table in the Hamptons she nearly laughed at us, as in you want a table at this time on a Saturday for tonight. My partner stated that if the hotel was that busy we should have been prompted regards a dinner reservation on our booking last night. She said they could fit us in the upstairs restaurant (Garden something?)
Our room was lovely. a long rectangle shape with bed etc on far end and then couch and table chairs at entrance. Bathroom was also very nice with a very large bath which I had good long soak in and was lovely. Only complaint on the room is that there is an interconnecting door in the room and when in the bathroom, dressing area or couch area you could plainly here the people in the next room. I think it was a hen gathering because there was a lot of people in the room and was quite loud.
We dined in restaurant upstairs which was fantastic. Staff were excellent could not do enough and when I couldnt decide on my main course the lovely waiter suggested the duck, and it was DIVINE!! Moved over to couches in this area after dinner had some very good cocktails made by the same lovely waiter listening to the Piano and was very relaxing.
Breakfast was a different story altogther. Served in the same area upstairs they said they serve breakfasts until 12. We arrived at about 10.40 and was told we would have to wait 10-15 mins for a table, we said fine it was obvious the place was very busy.
on arrival back at just before 11, they still had no table and we did not get seated until 11.35 almost an hour afetr we first arrived and my partner without food is not a pretty site in the morning!!!
The Maitre d was doing everything in his power to accommodate everybody however the area for breakfast is just too small and there was lots of large groups of people who were leisurly enjoying their morning chats and rightly so. When we eventually did get a table it was a low table in the lounge area. not the easiest to eat your full irish from.
All that said the breakfast was excelllent when we eventually got it (waiter mixed up our order with table beside us, I actually felt sorry for them at this stage!! Maitre d' offered us a champagne at this stage)
The selection for the cold breakfast buffet was some of the best I have seen in 5* hotels, they even stocked individual cartons of soya and rice milk.
Obviously with all the delays it was well after the check out time of 12 before we got back to the room to collect our belonging and at this stage the key had deactivated and did not work.
All the way back down to the same frosty receptionist to have card reactivated. and got checked out about 1pm.
Even though we encountered several problems, we still enjoyed the stay. its not really hitting the 5* standard one would expect but it is still a lovely hotel with nice rooms, fantastic food, great cocktails and the majority of the staff are pleasant.
Would definately stay here again on our return trip to Limerick.
Hotel should be more concious though of large bookings and the allocation of space when it comes to breakfast.

Arrived on a saturday afternoon and staff were great. We pulled up outside and didn't go straight for the car parking across the road. That costs EUR7.50 for 24 hours, or as in our case we knew we would be out until after 6pm and it's free until for overnight. So in pulling up outside we got a leaflet to put on the car dashboard to give us time to get our cases in to the room before we headed out again for the day...

The rooms are excellent. Very clean, modern, and comfortable beds. The room was spotless and well equipped.. 2 big bottles of water provided (still and sparkling) which proved useful.

The only downside was the road noise. We were on the 3rd floor with a great view on to the road outside. In most hotels this isn't an issue, but for some reason they have a vent on top of the window which doesn't seal out the noise properly. We had an early flight the next morning so went to bed a little early but the street noise made it difficult to sleep. It might have just been our room, or being up against the road. Either way - would recommend you examine yourselves on getting the room - we only noticed very late that evening when we got back :(

DIdn't get to try out breakfast or anything else other than the bar.

Room Tip: Would guess that rooms facing away from the street would be quieter

We stayed on a one night package that included breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal. Everything was amazing. The breakfast included an excellent buffet but you could also order hot breakfast from any of the staff who were on hand to help with everything. The maitre d was charming. He had worked on cruise ships and was both helpful and interesting. Afternoon tea included prosecco, sandwiches, scones and the most delicious lemon cake. Dinner was also top class served in a busy bustling restaurant right next door. The too
S were spacious and included fresh still and sparkling water. It really was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and at amazing value! Enjoy. I look forward to returning. AOR

Stayed there last weekend. The hotel is very centeral with the car park right opposite! The service from the 2nd we arrived was so professional and polite! The rooms were very spacious and clean! The food was out of this world! You have to go to the hamptons restaurant the food and service is outstanding! I would recommend the ribs they were gorgeous!! You may need to book ahead for a table tho as it obviously is the favorite restaurant in limerick by how busy it was! Will be back very soon to this hotel and would definitely recommend it!
