First off, kudos to the reservation and front desk staff - they were super great. Very responsive via email and even called to confirm reservation (and offer upgrade - I think they were overbooked and wanted to use our triple for another reservation). We stayed a single night prior to our return flight, and this was perfect for our group - we needed three beds and were only staying for about 12 hours.

There is a 20 Euro charge for valet parking, but because we were leaving so early in the morning, the receptionist waived the charge and left our car in the loading zone outside. This was very appreciated!

Pros: Room was spacious. The third bed was not a rollaway but a real bed (although it didn't have a headboard). Spacious and relatively clean bathroom. Lovely Molton Brown bath products. Central city location. Clean, comfortable beds.

Cons: Elevator took a long time to get up to fifth floor. Didn't appear to have air conditioning - the window was left open, which was not sufficient on the hottest night of the year, and the crowds below were quite noisy.

Would most definitely recommend for a Limerick stay, but would suggest a room on the second floor - looked like you could use the stairs.

Room Tip: one that doesn't require use of the elevator

We stayed at the Savoy hotel 4th to the 6th of July 2013. I have never been to Limerick and was not disappointed. We were very fortunate in that we were upgraded free of charge to a junior suite. The room was fabulous and we also had access to the executive lounge. Apart from the room the main reason for my review was the staff, they were highly trained and very professional, always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Food was fabulous we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The head barman loved making coctails and chatting about the recipes. I dont often write reviews but I felt the hotel needed a mention as Limerick sometimes gets bad press. I would recommend Limerick as a city to any traveller and especially the Savoy. I will be back at the Savoy in Limerick again! Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Try and get on the upper floors as it is in the heart of the city it can be a bit noisy further down...

We had to change the room 4 times to find a clean Toilette. One of the rooms we had was already booked by somebody else and we came in the room while somebody was in the shower ?!?
The stuff was more then confused and couldnt really handle the Situation.

Staying at the Savoy on one of the hottest days in Ireland in 7 years meant that the very efficient air condition system became an extra advantage. Stayed in an Executive King Room with a very comfortable bed and lots of Space. Staff was vere helpful, breakfast perhaps a little too traditional but with a lot of choice there was something for everybody - a minor setback was the temperature of the coffee. We really enjoyed staying at the Savoy which is named after a cinema on the same location.

i stayed here last weekend with a group. tried to check in at 3pm but had to wait an hour as our room was not ready but it was worth the wait as our room was spacious, contemporary, spotless.had lunch in the restaurant which was beautiful with entertainment provided by a lovely pianist.staff were lovely..we ate in the Hamptons restaurant but unfortunately i was the unlucky of the group, my starter was cold and my main course of thai green curry was also cold and not so good i didn't make a fuss or complain but dessert was to die for, really tasty.. when we came back to our room later that might our duvets were turned back and a chocolate left on the turn back,a lovely touch.overall i enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back. thank you savoy.

Stayed eight nights at The Savoy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nicely decorated with nice view. The Savoy is convenient to everything in Limerick. The rooms are quiet. They offer an executive center as well as a business center with computers and printers. The meals were good and rooms were spacious.

Room Tip: I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night when visiting a couple of suppliers in Ireland as it was the best one recommended to me by a local that I was allowed to book.

On check-in I was allocated a corner room on a high floor which was pretty impressive. If you looked past the car-park opposite there was a fairly good view of the river and you could see the castle too. Room was modern and nicely furnished.

Breakfast was a bit average - despite the hot options being table service and not a buffet, my scrambled eggs were very overdone - I suspect they had just been served from a behind the scenes buffet. Not what you'd expect from a 5* establishment.

Finally, worth mentioning that if you stay a minute past 8 in the morning then you have to pay for an hour of parking - something I didn't find out until I got to the exit gate of the carpark.

I went to the sister restaurant Hamptons for dinner which was pretty good and really busy for a Tuesday night.
