Booked 2 nights here on the deal rush offer. We checked in with no problems but then we got to the room. It smelled musty and on further investigations, we found huge black stains on the carpet, long blonde hairs on the bathroom floor and the toilet was not clean. You would think this is basic stuff. We decided to make the best of it so we went to the bar for some food which was nice. Back in the room we wore flip flops everywhere as we couldn't be sure what was on the floor. We could hear every word our neighbours said and there were kids next door in the opposite side and you'd swear they were in our room! We ended up staying one night out
of the 2. We might have slept for an hour or 2 in the most uncomfortable bed. We handed in our key and left.

We purchased two nights at this establishment through DealRush as the offer was enticing and the location to Newgrange was ideal. Upon our arrival the exterior of the Inn and Pub was found to be appealing amidst the tranquility of the village. After several minutes of looking for the night manager we were finally able to get our room key and we tiredly made our way to our room. And then the horror began. The overwhelming stench of room deodorizer greeted our noses upon opening the door and it was quickly determined that it was masking a more unpleasant musty odour. The room itself was found to be absolutely horrid as it was found to be dirty with soiled carpets. A large petrified spider was found on the wall above the bed and the mumblings from the adjacent room were easily heard through the thin walls. The bed was found to be poorly made and the sheet was stained in all the wrong areas. Needless to say, our stay was short lived (five minutes) and we left without any refund. A short ten minute drive to the D Hotel in Drogheda was a sight for sore eyes and we couldn't have been happier with this decision. An e-mail was subsequently sent to the manager, Tony Ward, the following day outlining our displeasure however there has been no response to date. Save your money and stay away from this dressed up pig!

Had a lovely meal in the pub side of the restaurant back in December. The food was great in taste and portions. The only thing letting it down is the decor is old in the pub and when the football was on in the bar the staff struggled to keep up with drinks. Great to see this place serving good food again and cant wait try out the restaurant al a carte menu very soon.
