“Funny and pleasant stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013

We found this B&B last minute for our stay overnight. We weren't disappointed. The rooms were nice and clean, providing everything you need. Wifi and TV is provided. Breakfast was superb and we could choose between a variaties of fried things, cereals, porridge, juices, tee, etc.! A big compliment also to the owner couple, who entertained us with great conversations, jokes and provides us with all informations about local restaurants, places, etc.! We can recommand this B&B without any hesitation.
Cheers!
Matt, Flo & Beni

Very friendly and helpful couple that made you feel very welcome.
Rooms very clean and comfortable but let down by there being no tea/coffee making facilities or hair-dryer for each room. There are hairdryers and an iron and ironing board available if requested however and you are also able to make tea/coffee in the dining room area but milk and crockery was not always available and there wasn't often someone around to ask for it. Breakfast was ok but no cereals or fruit available.

My main gripe was the distance from town - an impossible walk as we didn't have a car.

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us Sandra. I just want to clarify some things. A hairdryer was offered to you at check in. We did show you and your friends the breakfast menu before you ordered breakfast which offers a full Irish breakfast plus two different continentals that include fruits, yoghurts and cereal as well as a choice of eggs. As for the distance to the town centre, I was in regular contact with one of your travel friends and did tell her it was a 30-40minute walk but only a 5 minute drive and emailed her the numbers of a few local taxi services that are very reasonable. During your stay you were given a lift into the town every time you went free of charge and a lift was given to your friends to another place they wanted to visit also free of charge so I'm a little confused as how this was an inconvenience. We did enjoy the time you and your friends stayed with us and hope you do come to stay with us again.

A superb house! Immaculate! The owners could not do enough for us. I had a twin room with my friend and we had shed lots of space and huge shower room on the ground floor. Now, the breakfast has NO grease swimming anywhere on the plate. I cannot recommend this home enough. Best bed and breakfast in Drogheda. This family have got it spot on. Trust me.

Room Tip: Twin room on the ground floor for friends ideal. Huge shower room.

We booked a room at Lorcan and Marie's B&B for an overnight stay after a concert at Slane Castle and had a lovely stay. The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was delicious! Lorcan's conversation was also a highlight! :)
It is a great place to stay for Slane concertgoers or for travellers on their way North!
Thanks again for a lovely stay!
Cheers!

This place makes a fine overnight stay. Nothing fancy, simple and clean rooms. Location is right next to a busy freeway and it is about 20 minutes from a decent restaurant. If you are checking out the sights, it is in good proximity to these. Wifi works well.
Large car park, clean linens, great sitting room and breakfast area. The pictures don't lie...the work has been done here, but breakfast falls short. No fruits, cereals, juices...fry served automatically? A french press for coffee would go a long way....little things that were seen at every other b&b on the island will not be here.
Would I return? Unlikely. At the same time, I will not give this place a bad rating. I felt safe and the price is the big draw here. Remember that.
