I stayed at the d hotel for 2 nights in January. Decor was modern but not very clean (stained upholstery). Good size room with safe and large closet, reliable wifi, pitiful gym. I slept well on a comfy bed with minimal noise. I also had a view of the river which was nice - large windows! Close to everything worth experiencing in Drogheda. The staff was super helpful with directions and when I needed an adapter for the outlet. I would stay again.

Room Tip: A room with a view of the river.

After bailing out of Dalys Inn in Donore due to horrid conditions we drove back to Drogheda and booked into the "D" - and what a great decision it turned out to be! Superb location on the banks of the River Boyne with a warm and welcoming room overlooking the marvelous town of Drogheda. The room, food, customer care, and atmosphere in the hotel and restaurant was excellent and with one "small" room issue it was handled both promptly and professionally. A big "go raibh maith agaibh" to Connor and the staff who made our stay a memorable one! Should we return to your wonderful country we will certainly make our way back to the "D." Cheers!

Stayed here for a recent hen party. On checking in we realised we were short a bed, not the hotels fault but they eventually gave us a fold out bed in one of the rooms. We asked for a pillow for the fold out bed, which we never got and we asked TWICE (rang reception and asked at reception) for extra towels for the extra person in the room, but we never got them either! Location is great, food was lovely and couldn't be faulted but I wouldn't be rushing back.

Our arrival in Ireland began at the d hotel and we found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating, the rooms clean with a funky retro feel (we loved the "grass pillows"!), and the breakfast buffet more than satisfactory. The location made it easy to walk to and from the area attractions and the bus station and our view of the river proved to be interesting as we were able to see the changing tide.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river.

We were a bit Leary after reading some of the reviews...but we found the D Hotel extremely accommodating! The girl that checked us in we asked about going into Dublin. She recommended the train and offered to print us a schedule, we said we were going to go take a nap, so she said she would have it in an envelope at the front desk for us. Upon our return we found the schedule with highlighted express trains to AND from Dublin for us; along with information on things we might enjoy! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel and rooms were very nice and clean. We had a nice room on the fourth floor with a room overlooking the river. Breakfast was very good and quite fast! We did not eat at any of the hotel restaurants but I'm sure they would have been good also!

Room Tip: The rooms with the balconies looked really nice, but it was a bit too cool when we were there, other...

Had a great weekend in the D hotel. I flew in from Holland to compete at the open Irish powerlifting championshipship in Boyneside strenght, Drogheda. The organisation recommended this hotel and i knew why. Everything was good, the personal was really friendly and took the time for me.
I had a real nice and clean room and i loved the irish breakfast. I can recommend this hotel to everybody who stays in Drogheda. Thanks to all the staff who made my stay so great!!

We had a nice stay at this hotel. I wouldn't rate anything as mind-blowing, but the entire experience was very good. The rooms are very modern and minimalist and ours was overlooking the river. (Since Drogheda is a bit of an industrial town the views over the river consist of warehouses and utilitarian buildings rather than tranquil water views).

The bed was absolutely huge and very comfortable, the room was very spacious, and we even had a mini gym right near our room which made it handy to do a bit of exercise while we were staying here.

Food-wise the breakfast was very good, with both a comprehensive continental buffet breakfast and cooked to order options available, and included in our room rate. We had full Irish breakfast and I also tried the porridge - all of it was tasty and well-cooked.

As part of our package we also had a dinner included at WM Cairnes gastro pub, which adjoins the hotel. The ribs there were out of this world!! We enjoyed them so much that we ordered them room service the next night as well!

Location is great, right in the centre of town and it's only a short stroll across the river to some of the other best cafés in Drogheda, which are on the opposite bank. Scotch Hall shopping centre is actually adjoining the hotel, which has options for both groceries (Dunnes) and clothes shopping if you're inclined towards a bit of retail therapy.

All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful, and there is also complimentary parking in a lot adjoining the hotel included with your stay.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here.
